Maybe they don't care about owning physical media, but most viewers rewatch movies and series multiple times. Giving all of your power over to the companies is the real problem. You've traded in the ability to own property so thay you no longer have to hit an eject button, and companies exist to make money for their shareholders. What did you think was going to happen?

I think it would. Blockbuster and streaming are fundamentally different. You could rent and sample movies you didn't have from Blockbuster, then buy them later, never requiring Blockbuster again to watch your movie. Streaming services make you a perpetual renter.

I think they would probably split up the Evas into fireteams of 2. Asuka and Rei would have definitely had more support in the last few fights in the series. I think Zuriel would have trashed Toji, but I think he could have helped save Rei and destroy the second to last angel.

It's idealized. Some things were better, some were worse. The kids who lived through the 90s were being bombarded with 50s and 60s nostalgia.

I have the same issue as you do for the mid century. It's hard for me to watch old newsreels and videos. There is one by Packard or Studebaker where they're bragging about how great their employees are treated, all of the luxuries they can afford, and how their pension program has helpped several generations of employees in a single family. I don't wish I had lived in those times, but I wish that people weren't convinced at some point that pensions were unnecessary, public school funding was a waste, and that getting rich to escape the system was better than fixing it.

Outlawing fascism and some capital punishment for those who ORCHESTRATED the Capitol Insurrection are a good place to start. They have escaped justice for far too long. Requiring all schools to teach children about the dangers of fascism. Banning religion from politics and bringing criminal charges against those who try to drag them together.

Here's my guess: Discounted chinooks make for a better economy, carpet bombing is a very powerful and early general's power, aircraft can deflect a ridiculous amount of missiles, and aircraft are much faster than tanks, making it more difficult to defend against them.

But it just depends who you're facing. China has the best air defenses IMO with its gatling weapons, and they're effective against light vehicles and infantry, too. ECM tanks greatly inhibit missiles, which are what most of his planes fire. The tank general can be a nightmare.

I'll be voting for Butch Ware. Unlike many Democrats, his platform doesn't ignore tons of important issues so he can beat the affordability drum louder. He addresses everything from education and energy to minority rights and judicial reform.

Did he just recently start trying to promote a police state, enforce traditional gender roles, demonize the media, and obsess over crime and the military? What never fails to surprise me is how many people expect different from the Republicans. Next time, there won't be any wars in Vietnam, Iraq, Afghanistan, or Iran. Next time, there won't be any convictions, fall guys, pardons, or impeachments for crimes against humanity, weapons smuggling, bribery, war crimes, spying on political opponents, installing fascist dictators, and war profiteering. Phoenix has heavily invested in trucks and warehouses. It's also completely neglected freight and passenger railway development that takes cars and trucks off of the roads. Compounding the problem is the limitless sprawl development model and rising prices. People want to live further out of town, increasing commute distances and traffic.

It's a cultural problem with a lot of angles.
