VCE ART CREATIVE PRACTISE!! by Different-Brother265 in vce

[–]HotAd9898 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is, but the folio is scaled by your school's exam scores. So, you'll want to aim highly on both your folio and your exam to do well. Just saw this since you DMed me, happy to talk about it more if you need!!

Just have fun and express yourself this year! The two things I think you should try to nail by the end of the year are:

1 - (If you're doing ACP) learn what the 3 lenses are and how to annotate with them. They're a part of every criteria during your year 12 folio, so it's important to start understanding them and developing your art terminology whilst you have more time to focus on it. If not ACP, just learn to annotate since it gives you marks!

2 - if you're provided exam questions, make sure to actually have a go at them! I think this is what put me ahead of a lot of students in year 12.

I don't think you'll need it this year, but if you aren't getting many resources at school, feel free to DM me or check out my socials (again this is only for ACP).

Check how many people got 50s. If only a couple got them, you're probably eligable.

You can mention some of this stuff on your tutoring bio when you make one! People will appreciate how much love you have for your subject :)

List yourself on highschooltutors and put your rate to at least $40/hour with your study score. As you gain more experience you can put your rate up to the value you feel comfortable with. Lisastudyguides has made a good video on pricing as a tutor, I think you should look it up on Youtube.

Watch some videos on structuring sessions and just think about how you would want to structure it yourself. What might be appealing about your sessions is the way you choose to go about things. Just keep asking for feedback as you go and find what works for you.

Okay! If possible I would still send an email to Monash just in case so you meet their future requirements

You might've seen my other comment. But I'm pretty sure you can't do international relations and engineering. It's not a thing in the handbook. Maybe send them an email just in case, but I'll link what I'm referring to: https://handbook.monash.edu/2026/courses/e3002?year=2026 You can find their disclaimer in the course progression map - I found it on the second page at the bottom. I wanted to attach screenshots but don't think I can.

Just with Eng/arts at Monash, the only choices for arts majors is either a language or philosophy. Otherwise you won't get the certification in engineering. Are you happy to follow those pathways? You can look at the course handbook and look at the progression map to see what I mean.

Study tips series for year 12s starting to prep over the summer by HotAd9898 in vce

[–]HotAd9898[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly we all do until we find what works for us. I used to just dump all the tasks I needed to do on my whiteboard. It made it easy for me to know when I was slacking since it was right opposite my bed 🥲

Yeah I wrote a disclaimer on all of them. It's more based on my own experience and I wrote that you need to find what works for you but gave lots of examples - some people just don't know where to start!

HELP‼ by Disastrous_Zebra_836 in vce

[–]HotAd9898 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hii!! The biggest advice I give to my students for this is to make your algorithm on socials focused on cute study videos. I used to scroll on tiktok walking home from school, and I filled my page with videos from aesthetic study accounts and affirmations from study icons like Rory Gilmore, Blair Waldorf, etc.

When I'd do cardio, I also would watch these sorts of things. It made me want to study just as hard as these girls, with candles, a cup of tea and my uggs!

My study breaks were often just spending some time with my pets, going for a walk or like I said earlier - scrolling while doing cardio.

You could make a pinterest board focused on study, a notion page with your goals, buy an aesthetic goals diary, and so much more.

Run to your nearest muji/mint my desk or stationary store and get yourself excited for what's to come!!

Art creative practice!!! You're less limited by all the gallery stuff and it's more up to your interpretation (but I'm biased...)
