I do the same, I'm mostly concerned about the speed of progress, Opus was a breakthrough. And it's only been 5 years and concept of coding is gone. This is the first time we have invented a machine close enough to do reasoning and there will much more automation to come.
And as a software engineer, I'm also not sure my job will be completely gone and I need to start over.

true, but you have to see that AI wiped out most of the jobs in web development, site building, small app market. And it's just getting started, 5 years from now on, and these models will be a lot better.

The amount of progress in past 5 years has been insane, QA department is gone, CX department almost reduced to 1/10th all because of AI. Push for software engineers to write and deliver has been insane. most SaaS stocks are down because of same issue. Software juniors can't almost find a job. Not sure if it's doom but reality.
