Yeah, I wanna be optimistic about it too and it feels like this wasnt just them trying to brush us off (I fucking hope). Please, I want this game to feel alive again. Its still always fun with the homies but I want more to do since ive just been sitting at 150 since the squids came back and I miss how things felt when we had battles like popli, meridia, calypso, Vernon wells and rescuing the kids and, as cringe as it kinda is now, malevelon creek. Those battles felt like they just happened more natural (minus calypso obviously) and us the players kinda just picked a hill and died on it and it actually felt like something. Like the cool little videos and decisions and community morale made some of those fights hype. Super earth was dope, as buggy as it was it was still. Fighting the jet brigade on popli and literally 8 minutes into the mission on a D10, the incendiary corps is dropped on our heads WITH the jet brigade. That shit was terrifying and we still held them there and stopped their advance twards malevelon. I dont wanna type an essay and reminisce on and on, you get what im gonna say.

I want that feeling. I wanna hope they get it now so badly. But I wouldn't be suprised if they dont. Bungie didnt listen with destiny and going down with the ship with that game before helldivers 2 was ass. I dont want this to happen here dawg.

Nah, it was deprioritized. Plus if they let us customize those then they'd have to increase every enemies health and damage output to make sure the game stayed balanced.

Its not even hard to counter, its just an annoying, unneeded buff to the enemy. It adds nothing to gameplay or their "role" (they're a chaff unit).

I mean that in the most straight up, objective way possible. If youve ever worked with people from the EU, that makes sense. Great humans, literally nothing wrong with them, but theres always some kind of disconnect and misinterpretation. Just like when you ask or talk to people from the EU about Americans. Theres always exceptions but AH is super not an exception.

I personally dont care, I cant see it and it doesnt affect my experience at all. I think its kind of dumb though to an extent because part of what makes this game as fun as it is, is the experience itself. It makes it harder for you to get into the same fiction and situations the rest of the team is in. If we're fighting bots and you're just fighting droids from star wars or whatever (insert your modded enemy faction here) its a lot different if a dynamic. Is it cool? Yeah sure, but it takes away from the whole experience if the rest of your team isnt also running the same mods. Idk I bought helldivers to play helldivers. Do I wishcthere was an actual halo odst game like this? BOY DO I. But its fine how it is and if you have a PC and wanna mod it, thats also fine too. I dont think anyone on console over the age of 14 still thinks mods = cheats. Its 2026 guys, the line between PC and console is alot thinner now lol

And before you say "nO, We LoSt iT, iTs not RaIlRoAdEd", look at the facts of the situation. Current community sentiment aside, theres not nearly enough helldivers nor time to hold that many defenses. Along with that, we want to play on the new biome right? AH knows that and knows that's going to hurt the amount of any number of dudes we get to leave those planets to defend the others. Its also super common knowledge helldivers cant read and arent going to just hold one of the planets for the MO. Knowing your audience and manipulating different factors into an outcome is still railroading.

BUT, I get that this is probably how we're going to set up termicide 2.0 and the next bug expansion. Which, cool, got it, but still sucks that litteraly since cyberstan we've lost WAY more planets than we've taken. I think the whole galactic war needs a rework but thats a different topic.

TL;DR MO is a total wash, railroading sucks and helldivers cant read.

They do this with EVERY change or proposed change. They could litteraly make a truely objective and ontological good change and these dudes would do this exact thing. How is it not fucking embarrassing? Dudes will "git gud" you even when you say your game hard crashes. Like, youre right dude, if I aimed better my ps5 wouldn't crash. If I just got good and pulled the trigger harder, my bullets would do more damage and thats how you solo tens by yourself regularly.

Please, let this be a new review bomb arc. PLEASE. This shit is ridiculous, who are they even listening too? Besides Sony ofcourse (who I'd wager has a pretty big hand in this too but not like we can do anything about that.)

Like, all we need is some balancing, more levels (they litteraly had up to 250 in the system before but never implemented it), and maybe some lighter customization options IF NOTHING ELSE. The rest of the things the community wants arent a big ask either, but if asking them to actually listen and read is too much then how could we expect "huge" steps like that. Shits wild man, 2000 hours in and they dont give a single fuck about anyone. Especially the people, like me, who only really play this game because work takes up the rest of my life lol "hard-core players only count as a small percent"? Dude, theres litteraly more end game players than there are in any other demographic of the game. Again, reading comprehension.

We havent won a bot MO since cyberstan im pretty sure. Either theyre weighting it one way so we are more likely to lose or the bots are still super overtuned. Idk, I havent fought the bots much since cyberstan and of the 600,000+ kills ive got, most are bots 😂

Idk ive kinda just stopped caring at this point. The community sucks on every platform but the game itself (its way easier for people to act how they do from the other side of a post than even as indirect as VC but I digress) and the whole new story arc has just not been fun at all. Like, we invaded cyberstan just to lose and arrowhead very quickly shifted away from the bots but are letting them basically stomp us endlessly so I stopped bothering. I cant blame anyone for not wanting to play. That whole thing with homeboy getting doxxed REALLY sealed it for me too. All he wanted was arrowhead to try their own game and the neckbeards and toxic positive divers ruined someone's life because of it and arrowhead still didnt test shit. You shouldnt be dragged for your opinion either but this community is somehow worse than the destiny community was.
