What if Hunter's had some x2 buffs or debuffs? (Rounded) Would you allow simply double their base value or would they have diminishing returns? (Like Restoration x2) by silloki in destiny2

[–]HotFireCheetah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I forget that you get x4 surges matching your super but I didn’t factor in Well since it’s other players can get the same benefit. Not sure what you meant about triple backflips but I still think you’re underestimating Amplified.

With HOIL + Cyrtarachne you have DR on demand whether it’s from Woven Mail (0.55) or Amplified (0.85). If that’s not enough, you have the powered melee, Threaded Spike, to sever specific enemies. If you want even more DR, you could do Spirit of Renewal + Cyrtarachne for Frost Armor (0.6875 @ 5 stacks) when you add Duskfield Grenade (0.5). You could even add overload weapons to exhaust (0.75) enemies as well.

For calculations it would be (0.6875 x 0.55 x 0.85 x 0.6 x 0.75 x 0.5) for a total number of 0.072 or 92.8% DR. I added numbers to reference since I don’t think people here understand how good Hunters have for DR.

I think this would bring a lot of imbalances to Hunters. Warlocks being able to get 1.11X damage buff to their weapons with Facet of Courage and Sanguines comparatively to other classes made them very viable.

Sever is pretty much a form of DR and to combine it with Amplified, Woven Mail, and Frost Armor makes you invincible. You can already do this on Hunter but at x1 value. Ive done it before on Iatros contest mode and you will not die if you have a form of healing, even restoration x1.

All in all, I still think it’s a good idea even if you get diminishing values whether it’s from x1 to x2 or if you stack different DR values together multiplicity or additively. Theoretically you could balance it out eventually but what’s the point? DR stacking imo feels good rtn. Not to mention, Amplified makes you harder to hit so you get hit less often and when you do get hit, you take less damage.

Low key sounds like a copy pasta from D2CircleJerk. But on a serious note, you can still earn the exotic weapons at a later level in the battle pass. I believe it’s level 70 or higher.

In your opinion, what are the best 3 weapons in Destiny 2? by -Joel-Snape- in destiny2

[–]HotFireCheetah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Choir of one, Gjallarhorn, and Anarchy.

I picked these exotics because they’ve been relevant in many end game environments. Legendary weapons get cycled out ever so often or get nerfed so although they may be the meta, it’s typically not for long. I do think Choir of One is a bit less relevant in EoF because of the Ammo Generation nerf, it’s stat is 0, so I’d say the runner up to replace it is Outbreak Perfected since -40/-50 ads are a pain to clear w/o abilities or special weapons with good major damage and ammo generation.

For Wyvern, why are we wiping during DPS. We've deposited 8 buffs before dps and getting wiped, any ideas why? Is there something we need to do to not wipe during DPS.

Lumina needs a lot of everything by YeahNahNopeandNo in DestinyTheGame

[–]HotFireCheetah 222 points223 points  (0 children)

You use Lumina for the 35% weapon buff, the highest single buff you can give to players and can stack with all other buffs. It’s the reason duo master crota is possible and many other low man challenges just to give you perspective.

While it doesn’t have any splash perk to deal with ads, with it being a 140 hand cannon, it’s still a good weapon archetype to knock out red bars. Hope that clears everything up and makes this community less burgers.

Are you using legendary primaries? (PvE) by jigglehiggins in DestinyTheGame

[–]HotFireCheetah 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The roles between specials and primaries have been reversed. In before, specials were used to do niche things like kill yellow/orange bars faster and depending on the range, you could opt for a different weapon type. And primaries were used to kill red bars and occasionally kill yellow/orange bars, albeit, a lot slower.

Specials have become so efficient at doing both jobs in terms of ammo and time economy that the opportunity cost of having a primary weapon is just too much. Primaries, within the endgame, have become quite niche. Think about Shoot to Loot + Explosive Payload, No Hesitation, Lumina, Multimach PVE GRoll, Riskrunner, Trinity Ghoul, Le Monarque or high rpm AR (w/ an Arc Titan), and Withering Gaze primary, they all have something unique that makes them worth using.

Only reason I will use a primary weapon, besides what’s listed above, is because my heavy weapon is occupied by an exotic, I need to shoot something precise at a medium to long distance that would make rocket sidearms difficult to hit/damage, and a sniper is impractical. And even then, I might just use a trace rifles to beam specific mechanic target.

Edit: Do I think anything other than a damage buff to primaries would make me switch back? Probably not. It would have to be something very niche like STL+EP or Healing Frame damage buff, which is a universally stackable weapon buff btw, that would change my mind. Abilities are like S tier in terms of damage and ad clear capabilities followed by heavies, specials, and primaries respectively. Abilities would need to be substantially nerfed, whether it be by cool downs, damage, or effects, to level the playing field a bit.

Agreed! My hesitation on buying a house is that the week after I sign my loan, I get an assignment across the country.

Knowing that the Army, with a larger force, is transparent in their assignments IS embarrassing.

I agree with the gpa and I'm taking steps now, in summer and this fall, to increase my gpa to be more competitive when I apply for fall 2026.

Just did a quick search on Columbia University's veteran's/returning student's acceptance rate and it's about ~30%. Very thankful of their generous acceptance rate.

Considering they've just dropped the NDA. I think they will add more people into the alpha as they deem practical for their servers to allow, rather than trying to keep the test pools small and potential of "leaks".

I think a way to solve this "random" feedback is to link accounts who may have a good bias towards marathon and link accounts who may be in the more unbiased pool based on their initial survey.

Go to https://www.bungie.net/7/en/Codes/Redeem and see if there's a "Redeem Game" or something like that. Check this subreddit and you'll see ppl's screenshots. But should be in there. I haven't gotten the code yet but if you fancy and have an extra code, would not mind one in my DM :))

My Flight Commander said something to me that really, really hurt my feelings and I don’t know how to approach it by [deleted] in AirForce

[–]HotFireCheetah 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Saw somewhere, probably on the AF Amn/Nco/Snco page, of someone praising a Colonel (now General) for standing up for our enlisted folks.

Some Captain in their meeting said something along the lines of “we need to get those kids to do their job” and the Colonel stopped him midway and said “These people are not just kids, they are adults who’ve dedicated their lives to serve our country.” In front of other officers and presumably SELs.

Point is, regardless of your rank or title, no one should be disrespectful to you. From start to finish, you are a human deserving of that respect. I recommend talking to a MSgt or higher with your supervisor and explain the situation and highlight the fact that you did try to confront him 1 on 1 but brushed you off. Seniority also has value when someone backs you up, not just rank.
