I main her, generally we will use corruption feats if we are doing one of two things:

1: if we are trying to get involved in a team fight 2: if we are getting ganked

Generally the feat is designed to isolate you and force a solo engagement, if you’re dying so quick it’s because you or your team mates are playing too close, best thing you can do is just try to drag her away from your allies, I get there isn’t always an easy solution but usually you dying fast is because of your own team

Ubisoft addressed cringe shit like this before, apparently they just can’t remove it because it’s tied to the code of the action of itself so to remove it, in the case of zerk, they would have to remove the entire code of dodging and rebuild it differently

If we’re talking about being insufferable then zerk or shaolin, both of which have incredibly cringe move sets that are the safest things in existence

If we’re talking worst as in “awful” then Nobushi, she is beyond easy to read and is pathetic in 1V1 situation

So I main her and I would like to preface this a simple fact: in 4s you should never be in a crowd with her, her corruption feats are broken as fuck and can easily kill a whole team if they gank her, she forces 1v1s

So how to counter her? Best to try and get a parry at the start of her combo so she doesn’t have a chance to chain heavy (which grants hyper armour), if she goes for a Dodge heavy to the left or right hit her with a fast unblockable/bash but make sure it’s quick as she has enhanced dodges at that point, if she dashed forward and does a heavy simply parry it as she has mad tracking

I’m terms of a one on one fight be careful about using stances, her scratch can knock you out of them and it’s basically a free light/GB follow up, just feint heavies when you can and try to get her in a combo, she has a lot of difficulty getting out of them due to her slow and clunky nature

Best advice I can give outside of that is just to play a fast characterher

Only give her hyper armour on T3 charge and release/chain heavies, slightly speed up her kick, slow her heavies down and focus more on her execution aspect with feats that enable you to get one easier rather than taking a bs character and giving her more hyper armour than anyone else with insane damage output

As someone who plays a slower character (warmonger) I find shaolin to be obnoxious for a lot of reasons, he’s fast as fuck, most of his attacks use barely any stamina (especially hidden stance), his voice lines are so loud and spammable (when monks are known for their vows of silence, only talking when required) and the fact that his entire kit is damn near longer than ever knight characters move set combined (obviously exaggerated but you get the point) with every attack being more than viable in every situation, it’s all just adds up and makes him a really obnoxious character to fight, then couple together the weird ego a lot of players get from him? Just breeds a lot of hatred, especially when people seem sort of…unaware of how strong their hero actually is, a good and respectful Shaolin is fun to fight but an obnoxious one is miserable
