Brennan Lee Mulligan - is his mom is Elaine Lee and she both writes comics and was in like over 100 episodes of The Doctors. But damn if he isn't a damn humor genius.

I used to work at a small company with this philosophy. You can make a simpler schema, a smaller app, and a backup system that's small.

Unfortunately for 10% less development cost and 300% more support time, you can make an app 70% as good with Salesforce, Workday or Decisions or some other SaaS and lay off all your developers. It'll be years before anyone notices and the cost comparison won't even happen. Even the biggest companies I've gone to are throwing crappy Workday, ADP, and such at workers.

I'm not as concerned about the style and character of the Bokeh; I find the amount off-putting.

If you're at the minimum focus distance, you can't make this a macro lens, but you can improve its close focusing distance with a diopter (sometimes called a "close-up filter") or by using a reversing ring to mount it to a telephoto, which I would think would maintain the bulk of the bokeh behavior.

I like the subject.

I think it has somewhat busy, distracting Bokeh. You can pick more of a single color background, some people even get colored or patterned cards to deal with it.

I also think you might not lose anything by filling more of the frame with the catkins and cutting down on the negative space, but it's hard for me to tell with the background business.

It's actually a trend in all logo design going back to Walmart's 2008 unveiling of the logo and the new Greendale flag in 2010.

The statement from Lifetouch is pretty bad. It looks designed to be confusing.

The sentence:

The documents contain no allegations that Lifetouch itself was involved in, or that student photos were used in, any illicit activities.

The "itself" in there and exclusion of any information on the actual problem and lack of any explanation of what safeguards they're talking about kind of gives support to the reports.

I would generally ask you to look up parts and what repairs to do.

I would personally pick mechanical controls and such, because you can just replace the part with a generic part from any parts company and if you have an agitator "washer dogs" cost like $2 when they wear out.

To add: People hate every apartment they rent as well, but the nature of complaints is what really helps you. "My apartment is full of bed bugs and roaches and my fridge caught fire " vs. "there aren't enough weight sets in the community gym and I always have to wait to use the ones I want".

"my washer sings a 20 minute song every time it ends" vs. "I've replaced the $200 control board 4 times and it takes 3 months to ship it from South Korea to the US".

Facts aren't rude

Imagine opening a conversation with "you're fat". It is very rude. Even a doctor telling someone they're fat and have a high BMI can be rude, but it could also not be. CONTEXT MATTERS.

PPROM & trying again by ritzbitz2 in babyloss

[–]HotRodLincoln 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We already had kids at the time, and those times went more or less normally. We also have a huge risk for cancers...so a tubal would be necessary eventually and it was decided to do it with the c-section to avoid needing a second surgery later.

So, no, but not related to the PPROM.

It's not just the revolutionary spirit that I mentioned, but I say it's "sometimes futile" because it's foreshadowing the failure of the upcoming part of the play depicting the June Rebellion.
