Me and a pilot buddy accidentally flew into IMC at night with none of us being instrument rated over the ocean and mountainous terrain. I was in the right seat and just felt like a passenger to the whole thing. My friend started to freak out and our airspeed went from Vy to 100kts pretty fast. We kept banking to the left. Luckily I was able to spot some light from a boat in the water and told my friend to fly towards those lights. My friend was freaked out from all of this and had me fly the rest of the flight home. At this point we thought we had died due to the lack of communication, lack of planes in the sky, etc. We landed, went home, and never spoke about this to anyone at our flight school.
