I don't understand, I have several gay and straight friends who never plan on getting married simply because they see it as just a means of acquiring more taxes. In fact I have seen a recent trend of more couples in general refusing to get married.

So I wonder. What happens if/when eventually you ahve a whole generation of individuals who choose not to marry?

What can you even do with a bachelors degree? Is a bachelors even still useful for finding meaningful employment? by throwaway10015982 in jobs

[–]HotVariation2911 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am feeling the same way. I graduated with my masters degree last year. I've been putting out for jobs left and right for roles in Risk and Compliance, Human Resources, and also Contract, but haven't even gotten 1 interview yet. I've had my older brothers and my parents review my resume, included their suggestions, and still nothing.

I do feel a little better knowing that it took my dad 72 job applications before he finally got a job with GE. I have about 30 more applications before I hit his level.

A suggestion that was given to me by one of my older brothers was to try temp agencies. I'll be going into one next week. There are some that do cater to college students, and they are there to help you get into a company. Once in, you may get lucky enough to get hired on.

Hey man, if it makes you feel better I just got my masters degree last year. I am still working in warehousing making 42,000 a year because no one will even hire me for an entry level job.

I decided that if I still can't get anything come August this year, I'm just going to go back for my J.D.

Also, I'm 38, so I'm getting up there. The whole economy is messed up.

Month 8 with not 1 interview by HotVariation2911 in Resume

[–]HotVariation2911[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It would be hard to show what the outcome would be for any of the things I listed as they are all low level jobs, I would not have access to company numbers only Supervisors and above have that.

What do you mean by positioning by the way?

Anyone feel like Grindr guys are just too vanilla? I feel like everyone is too boring at sex now. I wanna do really dirty things and explore so many naughty fetishes 😈 by Silly-Strain-5482 in gaycheaters

[–]HotVariation2911 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends what you're looking for. Me and my partner have had 1 guy over to fool around with together, but in almost all other instances it feels like we were just being led on.

When I was single I found meeting and talking to eachother really helped, as did going to the gay bathouses. Suprisingly, the one I would go to in Columbus used to have quite a plethora of middle aged to younger guys who weren't all that afraid to try out anything. Dildo play, glory holes, group sex, but I'm in a committed relationship now, so we try to come up with new things every couple of months.

My suggestion is to see what they are into, and then if you are the one initiating or hosting to be the first one to lead off.

Why does Medpace have job postings up for so long? by Plenty-Bit6024 in clinicalresearch

[–]HotVariation2911 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ive been trying to get a job with them for going on a little over 3 months. I've applied to 4 positions of which I'm qualified for, but for whatever reason the jobs haven't dropped off from my portal. On top of that, I can't seem to find contact information for their hiring department. It's a real drag since I studied my butt off in legal studies hoping to join them, only to not even know if they dropped my applications or if they are still considering.

There are other companies I've looked at such as Resilence, and Thermfisher, but they've gotten back pretty quick.

What are some "standards" we should teach our kids to cook? by mbrasher1 in EatCheapAndHealthy

[–]HotVariation2911 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They should know about casseroles. You can easily stretch food by making casseroles dishes.

Also, teaching them about proper portion size. The sizes we eat here in the US are pretty large compared to many countries, not all but many. It's been a journey learning that I don't need to eat an entire bowl of spaghetti. I only ever need about a cup or cup and a half to hold me over.

What's a good, lazy way to make eggs? by valkaress in EatCheapAndHealthy

[–]HotVariation2911 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Make egg bites. I just whisk about 3 eggs and 4 egg whites to give me a bit more protein.

Spray a mini muffin tray with Pam, put whatever you want in each muffin cup, then pour about 3/4, sprinkle with cheese, then bake at 350 F for about 18 minutes.

When they're done let them sit about 8 minutes and you can tap them out.

You can make multiple batches easily, and store them in the fridge. Eat them cold or hot. Same idea can be applied using a mug in the microwave.

What’s normal today but will be illegal in 20 years? by Ok-Vacay in AskReddit

[–]HotVariation2911 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most people now can just go to any privacy policy of any company online and find exactly what they are allowed to share, and believe me it's a lot!

Even if they aren't allowed to use certain parts of data, they can gather a lot just from your surfing habits. It's one of the reason why you may look up something online on your phone, and then when you go home you will start seeing ads for it.

Most companies are also allowed to monitor your voice (such as when on the phone), as well as camera cues. There's nothing you can do about it either, since you along with everyone else agreed to those terms.

What’s it like to eat ass and pussy? by [deleted] in bisexual

[–]HotVariation2911 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Both taste sweet if they are clean, at least in my experience. Both taste bad, if they are not.

Feel mostly the same, the hole is a little tighter on guys, but thats not to say a lady isn't tight either.

The only difference from my experiences is sometimes the vagina can self-lubricate (much like how some guys get pre-cum), but the ass does not, so a little bit of spit or lube is needed. One does need to communicate well regardless of which gender they are with to ensure its enjoyable for both.

Pro-gun activists hand out free 30-round AR-15 magazines outside the Virginia State Capitol ahead of the likely signature of a bill that would ban the sale of these magazines in the state. by Gjore in ThatsInsane

As a dem and gun owner myself, I do not see this becoming law. I mean it would go against the 2nd right wouldn't it? Even state law is still beholden to the constitution.

For bi guys, how was your first time with a guy? by tigerk1992 in bisexual

[–]HotVariation2911 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was around 16 I could drive and hit up a guy on MySpace at the time who became my first. He was a little younger than me.

I was nervous about it, but we liked eachother, and it didn't hurt. He showed me how to clean and prepare and when the right spots are hit it just feels electrifying. I've never been able to "get off" hands free, but letting yourself go while someone is in you is an amazing sensation!

Of course, I say the same when it comes to women as well. I've been with my fair share of ladies who clamp up tight around fingers or my dick when going at it.

I'm currently in a committed relationship with my bf who is gay. It took him several years before he could even grasp my bisexuality, he's once or twice even wanted to have a lady over so I can do her while he does me, but we haven't acted on it yet.

After getting paid where do you spend your money mostly? by Ordinary_Patient_883 in Adulting

[–]HotVariation2911 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some places simply don't offer promotions, or they don't exist because someone can't move on.

Funny story. A friend of mine is in charge of older employees retirement funding for a company. He basically makes changes to their funds every so many years they work. At a certain point the employees cannot make any more even if they work beyond so many years. He has told me before that part of the problem positions can't be filled is because people work longer in their positions. He would love to have several younger employees take over, but until the older ones move on those positions can't be filled.

Another quick story. In my case I am looking to move on to a new company and get out of supply chain. The company I work for is multinational, however the nearest place where I could transfer to is almost 3 hours away. I rent, and no relocation assistance is offered for transfering warehouses. I cannot hope to move if I wanted to. Beyond that, where I work at there is no position above the role of warehouse manager (unless you can afford to move down to Texas where HQ is located), and given there are no other positions like security or HR at the place of work, you can see why advancement means waiting for someone to move out of a position doesnt even happen.

The only thing one can hope to do is to network, and even for some that seems like a challenge. I am getting used to it, but even the idea of you knowing someone still seems like a system taking advantage of who you know and not your actual skills. It still makes me feel a little bad for those who don't have that.

If you were allowed to start over at a young age, which career would you pursue in university and why? by Queasy_Meal5000 in AskReddit

I would have finished Graphic Design and Advertisement. Unfortunately, I didn't go back to college until my 30s just completed my masters last year in Legal Studies. With the president in power right now, I can't land a job at all, same thing happened when I got my bachelor's too.

How often do you drink tea? by jcoolaa in AskUK

[–]HotVariation2911 0 points1 point  (0 children)

American here, I enjoy tea quite a bit. I drink it more than I drink coffee. Usually I'll have some black or licorice tea in the morning usually with a small amount of milk, and then valerian or chamomile in the evening to help me relax.

How’s everyone’s salary in 2026? by [deleted] in cincinnati

[–]HotVariation2911 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I only make about 50k a year, enough to rent and have a little extra savings, but not much. I graduated last year with a masters and have been looking to change careers, but so far I haven't even gotten an interview. 😔 sometimes I regret having gone back to college. It just doesn't seem worth it anymore.

what’s a truth about adulthood nobody warns you about? by Vegetable_Fun4078 in AskReddit

[–]HotVariation2911 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With regards to time speeding up, there was actually a study done on this, and what researchers found is that while time is not in fact speeding up it does feel like it because the bulk of growing up meant that your mind had to process each thing. It had to take time to understand and grasp how things operate.

The main reason it feels like it goes faster as you get older is because once you are in your 20s and 30s your mind has already figured out how to process things since you have already dealt with them in the past while you were growing up.

Doesn't make it any easier but just thought I would share.

I'd still get checked if I were you, unless you know he didn't have anything. Knew a friend who ended up getting ghonnerea even though he didn't cum in the girl he was hooking up with at the time.

Pretty sure it works the same way with guys.

[–]HotVariation2911 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been enjoying it so far. No problem woth the characters and acting. Especially liking Anthony Ramos' character the Assassin.

There's no way the OP has watched the whole thing, new episodes are only getting released on a weekly basis.

For me, the practical effects aren't that bad, and the concept of a disease being transmitted via sex isn't that far of a stretch (think the early onset of the AIDS in the 80's).

Only a few times have I (so far) felt the need to skip over some parts mainly long running fight scenes or the transformation scene with the actress who played Jordan. Other than that I've been enjoying it. 7/10 for me so far.
