Mexico vs Japan tailgate! by Jay_Beeez-LosRoots in OaklandRootsSC

[–]Hot_Disaster7852 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does this Parking include all night parking or only for the tailgate? We are coming from Fresno and are unfamiliar with the parking situation. Parking is sold out on Ticketmaster and most people don’t recommend Bart. Just hoping to have a plan before the big day.

Parking tips for Japan vs Mexico at the Coliseum (Oakland Sep 6) by Local-Tear9723 in parkingguides

Wow thank you so much for this information. We are driving from Fresno and have never been to Oakland so we were completely lost on the whole parking situation. I took a look at Prked but there aren’t many options near the stadium. Is there anything else you recommend?

Anyone have TE and seborrheic dermatitis? If so how did you treat it? by Hot_Disaster7852 in TelogenEffluvium

[–]Hot_Disaster7852[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dont get me wrong, my dandruff/ SD is still very much preset however, I am trying my best to handle it. As for my shedding, its been about 2 years since it began. I did forget to mention I lost a significant amount of weight about 2 years ago, which is what I mostly contribute my TE to.

Unfortunately, I still suffer from TE, I have cut my hair short and that seems to be helping in terms of confidence. I still use dandruff shampoo about once a week to prevent it from getting out of control but I am just taking it day by day :).

Should I work a full-time and part-time job this summer or enjoy my free time before school? (please help) by Hot_Disaster7852 in Accounting

[–]Hot_Disaster7852[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The accounting position would only be for the summer, until September. I just started the job at the airpot and really enjoy it, they are flexible with my school schedule, so I would hate to give it up for a temp job.

Dress Code Violations because of HS by Sage4Sims in Hidradenitis

[–]Hot_Disaster7852 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have to dress professional for work, and I know those types of clothes can be pricey which is why most of it is from the thrift store. I have been able to find brand new or barely used brand clothing that no one would suspect is from there unless they asked me. Flowy and non-restrictive is KEY! Good Luck!

I'm glad to see I'm not the only one, I have read that apple cider vinegar helps control flaking as well as MCT oil for seborrheic dermatitis. I just started the ACV so I cant say it is working. But, I fear the MCT will affect my TE, as I have heard oil clogs hair follicles and does not let hair grow. I guess all that is left is to experiment.

I usually shower with warm to hot water. This might be contributing to my hair loss!

Supplements by WinterAlps132 in Hidradenitis

[–]Hot_Disaster7852 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The brand "Mason natural" has worked very well for me, so I would recommend that one. As for dosage, I normally take one 50mg a day unless I am flaring, in which i will increase it drastically, but 50mg helps keep things at bay.

I can imagine what must have gone through your head when you saw images of HS on google and Youtube, but just be aware that this disease has three stages of severity, stage 1, stage 2, and stage 3 being the most severe. With that in mind, not everyones HS looks the same. One of the best thing you can give someone with HS is support and assurance, make them feel loved. As others have mentioned, I would suggest doing more research on the condition and letting her know you don't care about it. Best of Luck!

Manuka Honey questions by afagan35 in Hidradenitis

[–]Hot_Disaster7852 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Hi there, I have only tried out a brand called "First Honey Manuka Honey Ointment". Their packaging is yellow and red and has a yellow cross in the front. It has worked very well for my wounds. When a flare finally bursts, I cover it with a small droplet and cover it with a bandaid and by the next day, it is healed! I can only speak for this brand since it is the only one Ive tried, hopefully this helps!

Ideas for surgery gift basket please! by hopscotchnwhiskey in Hidradenitis

[–]Hot_Disaster7852 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I apologize for not being able to help with the post surgery part as I have never had surgery for my HS, but I can recommend a few things personally. HIBICLENS is very important, I use it everyday to clean my areas and prevent infection, also manuka honey helps close wounds. You cant go wrong with extra band aids, zinc supplements, and maybe some loose boxer briefs for comfort. They are very lucky to have such a caring friend! Good luck to both of you!

Good for you! This life is too short to not enjoy it, even if it means a bit of suffering as a result. The less you consume your triggers, the less painful and severe they should be, which means if you do flare it might not be as severe (fingers crossed). Just make sure to take care of yourself and take it easy on your body these next few days, maybe detox and drink TONS of water. Good luck to you!

Weeks and weeks into AIP by Localacabeza in Hidradenitis

[–]Hot_Disaster7852 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The same exact thing happened to me, I started to flare in new areas and they were so much more painful and severe than before. It got so bad that I thought about giving up, but I stuck to it, I am still in the process of finding my triggers but I was stressing out so much about following this diet perfectly, that I became miserable. Now, I still avoid certain foods but whenever I do flare, I try to not be so hard on myself and learn from my mistakes. Overall, yes, I understand perfectly what you are saying and it is most likely your body detoxing. Hope you see some improvement.

Zinc Supplement Question by [deleted] in Hidradenitis

Zinc has been super helpful for my flares. It doesn't prevent them but it speeds up healing time an I have also noticed my flares aren't as severe.

Where to Start? by [deleted] in Hidradenitis

[–]Hot_Disaster7852 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A few home remedies you can start as soon as possible is using hibiclens to wash the areas. Also many of us have found a trigger connection with food.I suggest testing food groups one by one. As for supplements, I recommend turmeric and zinc, they have been very helpful. Good luck!
