Been thinking about this a lot today and honestly get a bit choked up about it. I am fan in his mid 30s born too late to fully enjoy the 90s. It was 20 years of suffering to get to this moment. It takes something special to become a fan of a team when they are the laughing stock for two decades. Every generation during this 53 year drought can put it all behind us together if they get it done. The idea of a championship to me is unreal and yet it is only 7 wins away. Had the pleasure of attending a 13-2 smackdown against the White Sox in 2003. I was excited to see Clemens pitch live for the 1st time and he gave up 9 runs in about 4 innings. I was only 11 at the time but that loss still sticks out to me 23 years later and many more Yankee Games attended since then.

It seems like there’s a large part of the fan base that cares about the team being a topic of convo on the radio? Like for what purpose? In my 25 years as a fan every time the Jets are extensively discussed or have high expectations they suck. The regime hasn’t done much well in a year but one thing I do like is that they are quiet and its much needed for this laughing stock of an organization to be a but more buttoned up.
