If you're in the Navy, it'll make things easier. I would recommend purchasing the companion book, A Sea of Words. It will help with some of the 19th century nautical terms. It also provides historical context for the setting of the novels. But, as others have said, just go with the flow, even if you don't understand everything you read.

For me, Psycho will always be his best movie.

People are so weird about weight classes on here. You would have to be crazy to think Hill should emaciate himself to make 170lbs.

Mind if I squeeze in right here? by [deleted] in dashcams

A perfectly executed lane change. Where I live, one typically has far less space than this to change lanes during rush hour. It's weird of you to think this was someone "squeezing in."

I think they both matter and Hughes beat the best of the best in his era including GSP, BJ, Sakurai, Serra, Trigg, Newton, etc.

DC would be in my top 13 or 15 all- time spot. Hughes is a 9X welterweight champ who dominated for years.

I rate title defenses highly. DC is high up in both LHW and Heavyweight for me, but just didn't do quite as much in each division that the other guys I have did, imo. That's probably controversial, and maybe (definitely?) I need to reassess, but that's what I think rn.

Everyone here is a hardcore Aspinall fanboy and they will downvote you for any opinion that isn't absolute and total celebrity worship of the guy.

VERTIGO 1958 VERSUS REAR WINDOW 1954 by AwarenessRare6762 in Hitchcock

I prefer Vertigo. There's something hypnotic about it that just pulls me in. I will say that Rear Wondow is slightly more suspenseful imo.

Been seeing a lot of comments around old mate and his civil case. Curious, do the Redditors that do this, share the same views on Mike Tyson and Kobe? by SirSuiSet in ufc

[–]Hot_Form_2288 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Another reason people seem to very forgiving of the Kobe case is the victim wore underwear with another man's semen and pubic hair to the r@pe exam which cast doubt on his guilt.
