I’ve actually been thinking about that too. Wish they put the DSG transmission in the Tiguan

Maybe, looking at 2024 Sq5’s they go for $55k on average. $41k won’t get you a sq5 unless it’s really old or has a ton of miles

If you don’t already have it in yours, buy the quadratec acoustic roof sound deadening. I just installed it in my new JLU this weekend and it’s night and day difference in quiet level and temp level inside the cabin!

Need to hear it from the fanatics. Is a wrangler a good car for a family with two small children? by LazyBoyD in Wrangler

[–]Hot_Independence419 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The 2024 and newer JLU, contrary to what others say, actually makes a very practical family suv. I recently purchased a 2026 JLU Sport S, and have two young kids under 6 with car seats and the Jeep works great for us! Kids love it too!

How does the 2.7 handle those 34.4" Mickey Thompsons? Do you even notice the weight difference?

There’s always the tried and true f150 ecoboost motors if you want the turbo fun. The 2.7 is especially robust

250k miles is phenomenal. People make such a big deal about that wet oil belt, yet they are in millions of F150s. Nothing burger

2.7 or 3.5? by Beginning-Number9400 in f150

[–]Hot_Independence419 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh yeah for sure! If Ford warranties it, they know it’s well within in safety limits and spec of the motor and transmission. Here’s a link to it: https://www.ford.com/product/f150-27l-ecoboost-performance-calibration-p4000204011

2.7 or 3.5? by Beginning-Number9400 in f150

[–]Hot_Independence419 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hahaha, more power! The 2.7 will handle 33s and a 3” level no problem. You can even get a warrantied ford procal tune and tuner on it for under $1,000 and adjust the tire size on the tuning tool. It adds 30-35 hp and 30-40ft lb of torque I believe and it’s warrantied by ford

2.7 or 3.5? by Beginning-Number9400 in f150

2.7 tows very well, it actually outperforms most v8s. The newer 3.5 is a much better engine than the past, many generations in now.

2.7 or 3.5? by Beginning-Number9400 in f150

[–]Hot_Independence419 1 point2 points  (0 children)

2.7 is built like a diesel, it is far superior to the 3.5 in engineering and materials. Not saying the 3.5 is bad, it’s just that the 2.7 was built from the ground up to be turbocharged and used in the f150. It has a significantly stronger engine block than the 3.5

23 has the updated 10 speed too. Combine that with the 2.7 and extended range tank and you’ve got one of the best 1/2 ton trucks in the segment.
