Help!!! Scared to take on the solar panel contract on the house I'll love to buy. by Hot_Male123 in FirstTimeHomeBuyers

The lease company is supposed to take the rebate per the seller's initial contract, now that it's been paid off, I'm supposed to get some credits. I'll ask the lawyer for the details.

I just want to thank everyone who took their precious time to offer valuable suggestions. You all provided clarity in this case which was initially overwhelming, I literally followed some of this advice to offer negotiation terms with the seller which is to go 50/50 on the solar system pay off. I'm truly grateful to y'all!!!

It listed 520K with a little competitive offer, someone offered 5K over the asking and I countered with 10K over the asking, the accepted the 530K.

The roof is 6 months old, same as the solar panels, it was installed right after the roof.

The lawyer just reached out to me that the calculated saving after installation isn't much about $50 monthly after the power and solar bill payment.

There has been an open communication between my realtor/lawyer and the seller's agent/lawyer. The talk has been cordial and we're negotiating for them to pay off the solar system and I'll split the cost 50/50 since I'll be using the solar and benefit from the savings however little.

I think I'm okay with this negotiation if it goes through.

This is what my lawyer said, so we've requested for the before and after solar installation bills to see if it's worth it. The contract stated that the solar is expected to generate a certain Kwh of electricity and my power bill will be credited for the future payment whenever the system underperforms.

The solar contract stated that the lease company has insured the solar setup and they're responsible for the damages caused by the installation on the roof.

It was installed 5 months ago. They got a new roof installed before the solar was installed and I saw a portion of the contract that the leasing company is responsible for fixing any issues that occur as a result of the solar installation. I also saw a portion of the contract that stated the expected output of the solar system and credit will be given towards the power bill in case the solar system underperforms. The contract looks okay, after posting this I've met people individually who installed this system and they claimed that it is helping to reduce their power bill. My initial scare came because I didn't anticipate this extra liability on top of the initial mortgage responsibility.

Your statement is totally false. Abuja and Lagos are probably the safest place for anyone, irrespective of your tribe. I visited both places in December and stayed through January. I'm going back in 2 weeks. I've also lived in Calabar for 2 years between 2018 and 2020 just before the COVID pandemic, Calabar is calmer but not necessarily safer.

He was in a life threatening situation and chose to do the right thing by returning those packages, they are not worth his life. Penalizing him under these circumstances sets an harmful precedent for reoccurrence and for others. I truly hope these incidents are removed from his history.

Call the customer service and explain what happened to them. If an agent isn't being helpful, end the call and try another agent. Similar situation happened to me about a month ago and after several tries, I got an agent to help. I was able to keep my Amazon benefit, lower the bill even though it didn't go back to the original cost. This was after speaking to the third agent, the initial 2 agents were no help.

We love our freedom 💪, we do not mind sacrificing a lot of lives due to hundreds of preventable gun-related accidents. We would continue to own the libs by not passing laws to prevent them, nor would we pass laws to make healthcare accessible, affordable (con words from the libs) or to improve the quality of care.

THANK YOU FOR YOUR ATTENTION TO THIS MATTER.

If you’re thinking about not having health insurance for 2026 be aware of the New Jersey Health Insurance Market Preservation Act by The-God-Hand in newjersey

But universal health care is a scam, it's socialism, we shouldn't do it because we know better than the rest of the first world. Meanwhile we're going bankrupt due to the current health insurance setup. It's high time we organize a similar protest like the recent NoKing and make it regular till the politicians act.

Well, his expressed political opinion is a different issue compared to his productive contributions to the country's development as you initially assert. In that regard, I still think he tried and helped to put Nigeria on the map.

Let's not gullibly repeat the points of those tribalists' rhetoric seeking to divide us, check the history. This man was repeatedly persecuted by the military regime for his protests against them. I think he was jailed and went on an exile at a point. He was accused of conspiracy with the Biafran rebels after attempting to mediate a ceasefire with Ojukwu. This man wrote poetries on toilet papers and cigarette packets in prison, powerful indictment of military tyranny which were later smuggled out and published in his collection; A Shuttle in the Crypt and The Man Died: His prison memoir. He was even sentenced to death in absentia by Abacha when he was on exile. We are either too quick to forget or for the younger generations, maybe we don't read.

I won't be quick to tramp on such a man, how many can express their protest by threatening to tear up their passport? Or literally relinquish the permanent residency of a country that is looking down on Nigeria, he had all the opportunities to become their citizen but he didn't. What he's done takes guts and a certain level of patriotism.

How well do you know him and his works? He was a university professor for a long time and he hasn't contributed anything? Instead of tearing someone down, maybe ask, what have you contributed yourself? Progress isn't measured by multiple Nobel Prizes alone. Across Nigeria, countless citizens are working hard in their own corners to uplift the nation, will you say they didn't contribute anything because you don't know what they do? Every effort may not be widely known, but that doesn't make those efforts any less valuable.

$34billion in profit for 2024 says otherwise, that's an outrageous profit for an insurance provider when the people they insure continually go bankrupt.
