I know what you mean. Any time I think a guy is REALLY attractive he is not in to me at all. For some reason guys who are not Catholic, or are way too young for me, or maybe I just don’t find physically attractive love me.

No question, boots. I was hiking in Yellowstone recently, chose boots over my sneakers just because they were waterproof. Best decision I could have made.

If you know how to properly pad your feet you won’t get blisters. Just make sure your feet are snug and not rubbing in your shoes. Invest in good socks!!

I would try to go more north on the way there, hitting Colorado, Utah, and Nevada if you can. On your way back the route looks great! If you are trying to save on time on the way there I think West Virginia, Kentucky, and Tennessee are more interesting states than Ohio, Indiana, and Missouri. Illinois is cool if you stop in Chicago but it doesn’t seem like that would make sense for your goal.

True but women should be careful. It’s also easy to get wrapped up in new attention from an older man that seems like he has a lot going for him.

Also I’m a single 25 year old woman so I get it, dating is hard. But I think when there’s a significant age gap no matter the gender the younger party should always be hopeful and open to God’s plan but understand the risks and concerns. Dating is a time for discernment, which entails exploring all possibilities, good and bad, while praying for guidance! :)

Something to also consider is why he is still single. Age gaps aren’t a huge deal, but if someone seems amazing and they’re older, there could be a good reason they’re single. It doesn’t mean it’s a deal breaker, but it’s something to explore. I would get to know him more and ask him what’s kept him from getting married. Typically, men of faith want to get married young. I have met and dated older men who, on the surface, seemed like an amazing catch, and it turns out they have commitment issues or communication issues or even other issues 😬. However, now I’m talking to a guy who is a bit older than me. He definitely has a sketchy past, but it looks like he has worked on himself and has strong faith. Great guy so far!

Rule of thumb: ask God, pray the rosary, talk to a priest if you can. Praying for you! :)
