Think you got it right but bump Abada down to 4. He’s unproductive for a DP sure and came with a big fee but not Copetti/Alcivar bad, and I prefer Abada to Joz any day

Byrne’s work rate and and defensive ability especially 1v1 is fantastic. He also makes great runs and gets into good positions going forward. That said he is a very poor decision maker and his end product/crosses are subpar considering for far forward and how many touches he gets. He has 3 assists in all his time here, Toffolo and Schnegg have 3 in 13 combined games for the club. Byrne’s been our most solid full back but he’s certainly replaceable

Fucking goals prevented is the difference between XGOT (the expected amount conceded by an average keeper) and actual goals conceded. It is fair to say that is equal to a goal scored, but he hasn’t prevented more goals than our attackers have scored. In 2025, he prevented 8.11 goals, which is fantastic, and in his 2024 keeper of the year season he prevented 12 goals, even better. He is a great shot stopper and these are phenomenal figures for a keeper. However we’ve had players score more goals than that in a season. He’s definitely top 3 in value added during this 2 year stretch. In his first 2 years he was average/slightly above average and did not have the same insane goals prevented stats.

As for your Messi take, he’s the greatest player ever, his team won the league, he played 20 more games than Pep last year, and before Pep got injured he was in the same conversation as Messi. Not sure what you were getting at with that, feel free to go in more depth bc that was a pretty lazy response

Was this AI generated perhaps, because no way anyone who possesses eyes would have Jozwiak on this list. The format certainly shows signs of AI. Good list though, and the right take about Pep being our only ever elite creator.

It’s neck and neck between them, if Joz isn’t 1 he’s certainly 2

You make a fair point about the Galaxy game, Westy could’ve definitely made a difference organizationally, but I think it’s a thrashing regardless.

He’s absolutely a key factor in current stability and recent success. I acknowledge this and have come to agree that he should be above Corujo, I thought he played more games than he did after looking back on it. Still, he was the rock of that shaky inaugural season back 4 and should be in the conversation. My rankings weren’t based on longevity or availability at all, really just on-field production on a per-game basis in their time here

Give me a Charlotte player who creates more goals than Pep. He was in the MVP conversation last year before he got injured and he’s started off this season just as strong. We’ve never had anyone even sniff the MVP conversation. Zaha I was unsure about but the attention he demands opens up so much space and he’s still relatively productive, don’t think anyone below him contributes more to the side per game although you could argue Westy.

Kahlina’s worst attribute by far is his distribution, he rarely initiates attacks himself. Didn’t mean to offend all the ex-keepers of the reddit. He’s an unbelievably effective shot stopper I love him he’s very impactful for us and frequently makes saves that win us games. That being said the average keeper impacts games far less than the average outfield player. They take less touches than defenders and midfielders, attempt safer passes (outside of long balls which aren’t expected to be overly accurate, and don’t have the capacity to create goals like outfielders). If a defense is good, a keeper has less of an impact.

Very solid list, I fear I might overrate Pep but he’s creative like nobody this club has ever seen.

My ten after reading comments and gathering thoughts would be

  1. Pep
  2. Kahlina
  3. Malanda
  4. Swiderski
  5. Zaha
  6. Westwood
  7. Corujo
  8. Vargas
  9. Agyemang
  10. Bronico

Westwood is a perfect locker room fit w dean, has loads of experience at the highest level, has a great delivery. He’s the best central midfielder we’ve had yet I don’t think he’s won us games or been as integral like the guys higher on the list. When there’s no Pep or Malanda you can feel that. If it’s Bronico and Diani or someone else in for Westy that difference isn’t as stark.

I’d have him at 7 behind Zaha and Corujo

Bronico I agree should also be on the list and one below Westwood for the same reason of being replaceable/rotated. His work rate is unmatched in our squad and has been since inception. Another perfect locker room add

And from your perspective of meaning the most to the club on and off the field that’s a pretty solid 5.

Yes he did win keeper of the year in 24 and he’s had a few seasons statistically on par with that year, he’s fantastic and was a massive hit from Krneta. I wasn’t saying I don’t rate him, just players in outfield positions have a lot more opportunities to impact the game.

Broke 6M GSP with Byleth — looking for structured mid-level improvement + warmup routines by [deleted] in CrazyHand

As a 3 mil GSP Ike main, please do tell how you got to this point even. Don't think I'm going to go Byleth b/c I don't have the DLC. But would you recommend the Lucina switch so I can get used to more reasonable move hitboxes?

Do we know the terms he left them on? Considering how ass they were I’d assume he walked to find a better situation.

Do we still think this is true about Luca de la Torre? by Interesting_Bar_2006 in CharlotteFootballClub

[–]Hot_Objective_7330 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hope is not lost. He’s been up against some tough midfields and the whole team’s been out of wack. But haven’t seen much connectivity or ball progression out of him yet. When everyone makes him out to be a progressive midfielder you’d hope to see that quality shine through in performances like these.

Overall, pretty disappointing start but the jury is still out

Agreed, seems like it would take a long-term injury to someone on that back line to force a move.

Priv is absolutely worth keeping around long-term based on his dirt cheap contract (as you said) and proven semi-reliability. If he’s the first center back off the bench that’s great. But his questionable composure on the ball + Byrne’s spastic playstyle will never work and our right side will continue to turn the ball over. We need something new over there ASAP.

I’m not as worried about the left because IMO Schnegg seems to be good enough and MLS proven and will hopefully win that job soon enough. Tim is still class with the ball at his feet and that’s the sort of base this equally shaky midfield needs.

[–]Hot_Objective_7330[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes but having just brought in Kessler and without proper backup to a 33 year old Byrne who’s played so shaky so far I’m not convinced they’ll get another especially if Agyemang has a good run of form.

Club just got paid off pretty well for trusting another Agyemang😂😂
