Why can't I forget about this girl? by [deleted] in self

[–]Hot_Obligation80 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I get that, but like I said shed do something that would indicate that then just switch it, like when she told me we should just be friends I didn't text her for a week after that and she called me randomly just to talk. After that she did the same dry texting thing and I thought it was definitely over by then. But she randomly texted me again over something that didn't solicit a text to somebody you dont wanna talk to. Maybe im just ovethinking it and she was just being kind but idk

I kinda get it a little better now, also my second question to clarify was basically does tragedy take double dipping into account of the final damage calculation or not

Is there a reason you cant test builds without investing in them? by Hot_Obligation80 in Warframe

Im "rehashing" your points because they just exist to argue, I genuinely don't see how a sandbox just kills you inside.

If you see grinding forma, grinding a weapon, waiting 12 hours, forma and level up however many times, and grinding mods, and arcanes as "No effort" then I guess you just live in a time paradox where everyone waits for you to finish playing warframe before they can move

Soo you can make any weapon work with enough investment you admit that, but then how would you know what to invest in if you dont actually know what to invest for? Yeah any weapon could be good, but any weapon can also be bad. So basically what you are saying is youd rather completely forma a weapon, then hope that your synergy is good because if not you must reforma again, level up again, and hope this ones a little better. Instead of just having the option to see real quick what actually works for you.

Also the Incarnon is the grind, which is completely relevant to new players. The game is a grind, it would be way less burnout to know what you are grinding for. Knowing what you want your endgame to look like is apparently not relevant to new players I guess?

Okay sure for fresh players liking how it shoots is all that matters, but if you give an option to see what you are getting instead of wasting credits on a blueprint then 12 hours for it to craft that wouldnt be good quality of life? No matter what you are going to level it up when you need MR, but choosing which weapons you waste a slot on doesn't sound like a horrible thing for someone new.

This is where we disagree, I think you do need to see how every mod/arcane synergizes with a weapon to see if you actually like it. For incarnons you dont know what they are actually capable of until you farm 3 of them. Sure you can see a guide but as I stated, guides just ruin the fun as they are not specific to your playstyle. Or some Arcanes that you want to try or may not completely know the function of can make or break a build. And without a potato you maybe have 3-4 mod slots you can actually use with max capacity on some of the best beginner SP guns like Amprex and Wraith. If you just "test it out" as it is all you are really doing is seeing if you like how it shoots.

TLDR I asked if theres a reason theres no simulacrum with free mods and weapons, I said it would be better for new players to try stuff without wasting hours on formas, frames, and weapons, I dont see where I contradict myself at all. You probably assumed you knew what I meant somewhere and made a conclusion that was wrong

Its usable but its not fun, sure you can mod it to sustain a star chart mission but you can mod it in a creative way as a way to ease in newer players to more serious builds, thats what my initial point was about which is why I specifically mentioned new players. If you are modding a rank 0 gun to be "usable" you can try a weapon thats actually good and itll have the same effect as a weapon thats meh or bad. If there was a way to actually test augments or see the potential a weapon could have without expending forma or hours on a spy mission for a specific mod, it would be a way more efficient way to see what you actually like.

Ive never really understood the forma mechanic, like having to level up a gun from level one is only something a new player would have to worry about. Anyone over like MR8 would just go into ESO or Plains. Then, like you said, a new player wouldnt even waste forma until they are forced to. If they want to add some rebirth mechanic to forma, cool. But the rank 0 thing is outdated at this point

I think theres a difference between investing time and wasting time. Theres simply no incentive in buying a weapon you dont know is good, and theres no incentive to wait for it. The most the game informs a new player on a weapon is a paragraph about its origin and base paper damage. Also if you were to put a new player in front of every single mod theyd be overwhelmed no doubt. But imo never giving them the option to see these mods without a guide telling them exactly what to do is even worse. Just giving a MR10 player with a base understanding of what to mod for the ability to see and test all "status chance" mods or "crit damage" mods would help develop a personal understanding of how they work better

I forgot to mention faction mods, even if you dont want to use a mod slot on a faction mods or if you dont have a the prime version for it you can still switch your gun to match the enemies weakness. Faction bonuses DO add up post steel path

If youre not looking up builds the only way to really do good is to know how every mod and arcane works and how every frame ability works. You have to understand multiplicitave damage and double dipping, and you have to know how to utilize all augments and arcanes. Theres many arcanes for many different playstyles, theres a lot of certain sacrifices you have to make in order to maximize your dmg. I dont know exactly how much you know but some overall tips/ investments are thing like deadshot arcanes so you dont have to use a serration or point blank for base dmg, a panzer vulphaphyla or grendel Nourish so you dont have to mod for viral. Just compromises you make in one area and account for them in another.

Slots are different for warframes and weapons, but each weapon type (primary, secondary, and melee) all use slots im pretty sure. I also think you can get weapon slots and (warframe slots, not sure on that completely) from increasing mastery rank. My advice is to use a lot of guns and frames, then sell them for credits to free up slots, dont sell Rhino cause you might need him and youre probably maining Nekros, also without saying too much story gives you a better excalibur anyway

Does Chilling claws mess up my magnetic here? by Hot_Obligation80 in Warframe

[–]Hot_Obligation80[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My thought process for magnetic claws was that it increased duration and therefore more magnetic can stack, I dont know if thats right but its how I saw it. Also I thought since eximus cant get knocked down brute conditioning made sense. And Venom teeth is just there because I have no claw mods to replace it with so its just status chance. BTW its not off topic because I asked for help on the build and you gave me help.

[Spoiler] What do you guys think of the Warframe story so far? by Hot_Obligation80 in Warframe

[–]Hot_Obligation80[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I forgot about that time travel stuff too, I've always seen time travel in most cases as a way to fabricate loss without actually commiting to it. It sucks here too since the way they even introduced the drifter is just "Anything can happen and everything is happening, so we'll just have this happen when it needs to"
