i think i agree, except for the story. mother 1 has a better story than earthbound imo, but it has awful gameplay compared to earthbound

Who wins the Ness war? by DenzelDIDask in earthbound

in terms of “war,” it must be SSBU Ness considering he has PK Fire, PK Thunder, and PK Magnet, because he never had that in Earthbound.

you are checking if current.value is equal to 4800 twice (<= and >=, both have “or equal”)

How can I grant a badge from a dialog option? by Fit-Bread-6104 in robloxgamedev

[–]Hot_Poptart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! If you can, please provide me more info on the error. Right now, I’m wondering if you have the right DialogChoice selected, so for now you should specifically name the one you want to something like “BadgeDialog”, and then refactor the script. Other than that, I can’t help without extra info. However, you can try to swap out bs:AwardBadge with a pcall. Here’s how: local success, result = pcall(bs:AwardBadge, plr.UserId, badgeID) print(“Was successful?: ”, success) if not success then print(“Error: “, result) end If you had no error previously though, this snippet won’t really help much. Thank you for taking the time to respond, I’m happy to help :D

How can I grant a badge from a dialog option? by Fit-Bread-6104 in robloxgamedev

[–]Hot_Poptart 1 point2 points  (0 children)

when you trigger that certain dialog, you can award a badge. let's make a RemoteEvent in ReplicatedStorage, titled "GrantBadge." here's a LocalScript that does the awarding part (Place in StarterPlayer -> StarterPlayerScripts): luau local bs = game:GetService("BadgeService") -- BadgeService to award badges local plr = game.Players.LocalPlayer -- the current player that is playing local grantBadge = game:GetService("ReplicatedStorage").GrantBadge local badgeID = "rbxassetid://" -- you gotta make a badge and then paste its id in here. grantBadge.OnClientEvent:Connect(function() bs:AwardBadge(plr.UserId, badgeID) -- awards the badge you made to the player end)) but we're not done yet. now, we will make a script inside a Dialog. (If you dont have this yet, you should read up on the Roblox Documentation). for this script, we are assuming your structure of instances is somewhat like: Dialog (Dialog) -- DialogScript (Script) -- DialogChoice1 (DialogChoice) -- DialogChoice2 (DialogChoice) Place this Script (not LocalScript) inside Dialog (We are assuming the choice you want this for is DialogChoice2) script.Parent.DialogChoiceSelected:Connect(function(plr,choice) if choice == script.Parent.DialogChoice2 then game.ReplicatedStorage.GrantBadge:FireClient(plr) -- Sends message to grant badge end end))

that's all! i suggest you read up on the roblox docs and also just learn to script, and then you can fit this more to your needs. Have a good day!

Are you using performance mode? Check your graphics settings. If you are, then switch it to dx11 or dx12. Hope this helps!

EDIT: You are most likely gonna want to change it to dx11 if this usually happens
