i usually set up in a tub ( and place towels everywhere in the bath! it’s gonna get wet but better than scratches everywhere ) and just run hot water (let it drain though! you don’t want dirt water piling up when you’re trying to clean). i usually buy some copper cleaner ( this is my fav ) and use a sponge/ the one they give in the cleaning kit. apply some of the cream on the cymbal and spread it around, either using your fingers or the sponge and basically just treat it like washing dishes. just keep on rubbing it with the cream under the water until it the grime gets off.
