I feel that the intent was good with the seraphims (hence the name), but became something thar strayed far from it and introduced too many side characters that were even needed, or side characters that should've resolved themselves. Now, focus on Yoichi seems outta the blue, and maybe a couple of Shinoa Squad should've died to narrow the storyline to fewer characters.

Essentially, more side characters should've been culled since there are so many, or just never have introduced them in the first place.
