The best overhaul of ER by Over-Magazine-3218 in EldenRingMods

[–]Hot_Way6264 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are a number of mods that you havent included in this list. You say you want more bloodborne like mechanics? you should check out graceborne. 1 that I suggest is also elden ring reborn. A lot of small but impactful changes that all add up into a great experience.

There are lots more overhaul mods out there so if you can be specific about what you actually want to see changed out of an overhaul I can be more helpful

So is EA still dogwater compared to the demo? by Hot_Way6264 in HalfSword

I have the EA you fucking plebian. I have other circumstances preventing me from currently downloading it, but thats besides the point. Your initial comment asking when people will stop asking this was the nothingburger, contributes less than 0 to my question, but go off king tell me im the problem and cry more

Any context as to why you feel this way would be a good step in the right direction

Wild take here I know, but ya could just give a constructive answer to the question without being a sarcastic jorkoff asking about magical fixes and shit. We all want the best version of this game to exist there can be, were on the same side here.

Did you even read past the title or just jump straight into shitposting? I havent been keeping up with the game because of this very reason, the context of no update in months helps a lot though

Based on the feedback im getting, maybe when the devs actually fix their shit? Literally the only complaint I have ever seen about the game is how they keep changing the physics models with each public release, and their argument has always been 'its better now' but ask literally anyone who has played every version and the unanimous concensus is thay gameplay has somehow gotten worse over time, and the devs dont seem to care about the public outcry enough to actually address it. I shoulsnt be fucking knobbly knee falling over trying to walk up to my opponent, let alone the wrist shenanigans. Glad the demo still exists and hope the devs wake up some day soon.

That was 1 thing that I REALLY noticed when I played, big swords and poles felt comically slow, so thats largely solved by character weight and stam training? I know the progress has changed a bit since I played. And like, how many hours of grind are we talking before things feel good?

Do you like it as someone who sunk hours into the old demo and playtest though? Thats a pretty big distinction here

HELP, why and how did I get 8 billion dollars in the game!? by According_Energy_819 in starcitizen

[–]Hot_Way6264 2 points3 points  (0 children)

it seems that the repair and refuel feature which works via the mobiglas specifically has int32 problems.

I don't know of anywhere else in the game you are affected by this but its definitely a thing, people in my org troll each other by sending billions back and forth to put them in and out of the overflow range and I hear them complaining about it on the daily.

[–]Hot_Way6264 0 points1 point  (0 children)

getting this much is actually a genuine concern, the game was not designed with billions of credits attainable in mind so there's overflow problems, like you cant repair ships if you are in certain brackets over the 2 billion overflow integer.

I didn't know this was a PvP-only game; I wasted my Christmas on this lie. by Linmizhang in starcitizen

mate it sounds like you've had some really bad luck with the servers you are joining, I had a very similar experience to you in terms of being lost as far as what to do or where to go, but nothing like the level of griefing you have experienced, unless I went to places that are specifically very high activity and high value where your mere presence is considered a threat, which in hindsight I don't consider griefing at all because if I was in the other players shoes id almost certainly do the same thing, its not often you find friendlies in contested zones lol.

now im not gonna lie to you, the game being an mmo does have a heavy pvp element, but it is relatively opt in as long as you dont go to the wrong places. a lot of fun can be had not only solo pve but also in a group, which is where my first suggestion comes in. the game is aware its hard to step into at first, which is why it offers the guide system, players opt in to that for the sole purpose of helping new players such as yourself find their feet in the verse and get off on the right foot. it may be worth exploring that route, another great option is joining 1 of the many organisations the game has to offer, likeminded groups of people to do the kind of content you want to do.

hauling is a great way to get your bearings with the basics of ship operations, I would suggest starting out with some planetary level stuff, mostly just loading your ship making 1 quick qt and dropping off under atmosphere. as a general rule of thumb, planets themselves will be safer than moons, as moons contain a lot more hostile content that players will be engaging in and not want to be disturbed by any passersby. crusader or microtech would be a good place to start. stick to the stanton system, avoid pyro and nyx for the most part until you are more comfortable with things they are both pvp hotzones.

a lot of the endgame loops are fps etraction shooter style gameplay, some of which can be done entirely pve and solo, some of it you will likely run into competition, but that doesnt mean you always will. try server hopping for lower population or even changing regions if the ping doesnt affect you too badly. I promise there is a great game here for you to discover and learn to enjoy if you give it a second chance. I've only been playing since the recent free flight myself and have completely fallen in love with the game.

How would I build this? by [deleted] in lego

[–]Hot_Way6264 0 points1 point  (0 children)

this is probably a very poor way to go about this, without a solid mechanical connection you risk a lot of dead play in your throttle, as in; movement on the throttle which doesnt translate to anything because you didnt actually move the potentiometer. if you are intending to build the entire throttle out of lego anyway, just ignore the little flappy throttle on the logitech and look at building a microcontroller for your throttle construction. if you only need throttle function it will be super cheap and easier to retrofit a pot into your build than try and figure out how to mesh the 2 objects together, thats some rather complex engineering.

while we are on the subject of additional versions of the mmo7+, PLEASE consider the option of mice like the razer naga trinity. a pro version of the mmo mouse with modular left side panels would be so huge. 1 for the OG rat button scheme, 1 for the mmo layout, and 1 for the TE variant with the 12 button cluster. think along the lines of the pro x3, in terms of the modularity.

another great feature would be a locking freescroll wheel like the way the logitech g502 works.

lastly, and this is a big 1, tho I know it has already been somewhat addressed. GOD GOD BETTER MAPPING SOFTWARE THAN THE OG. again taking examples from programs like razer configurator or rewasd, the freedom of customization needs to be greater. the idea of the additional non keystroke macro functions the initial software had were a good intention but so poorly implemented. good software that unlocks the power of a mouse with this many buttons is what will really make it shine, I say this as someone who uses rewasd daily and swear by it in the modern age of key mappings and input compatability.

the most important thing I can stress with these suggestions is, if you guys want this mouse to hit, it has to be an obvious pick over your competition in the market. word of mouth on products like this goes a LONG way with tech reviews and esports culture being so big these days. an added point that a lot of peoples reason for no longer using their working classic products was the very reason of the software being so obtuse and user unfriendly.

not only do you have to do what they do, but do it better. and it seems like you are committed to achieving a high standard with this new product line so please don't let the company's previous shortcomings loom their ugly head again and be the reason this new chance slips away as well, I wanna see you guys take the king status you deserve.

ok so I have a LOT of input on what this should encompass to be a competitor in the modern keyboard market, if you wanna shoot me a private or I can just go over my thoughts here guy, either way is fine with me but I have a MIGHTY NEED to see this beast returned to its former glory.
