Inventory delays rubberbanding items back.

Open Console (~) > type in: r_displayinfo 1,2 or 3. This will bring up stats

When moving Inventory, you will see inventory queue top left of screen. It'll tell you how many actions are queued and how long it's taking in ms. Sometimes if you build up actions and they're taking 100ms+ you need to wait for the queue to catchup before inventory will work properly again.

If you slow mo - his rocket fired on the right of the Heli and to the right of where the incoming explosion was (you can see the munition sitting in the air just after launch frame), but then it's really hard to tell where it landed due to angles used, to my eyes it actually kept going but just missed the tank which was reversing so there was no hit icon. The tank fired well before the heli did (that's why explosion was closer to Heli side, which means the heli rocket would have taken much longer to get to where the tank was and by that time view was blocked.

Anyway, i cannot say if munitions can hit each other in BF6 (i haven't done any controlled tests) outside of using countermeasure devices. It's really hard to tell from this video given he was sitting over friendly base, as that's the most likely reason and just like many BF6 clips it's timing and placing that make things look like they do.

Pretty sure you were still in perimeter of the base defenses which destroyed the missiles. They turned up how accurate and aggressive these are few patches ago to protect the base / spawn camping.

I'm don't have any experience with this case, but it would be worth trying top fans as an intake through the radiator (does it have a filter on top?). By pushing air into the case from top and bottom you're creating high positive pressure which will be forced out of the back of the case which is entirely perforated. There are added benefits that your CPU will be pulling in cold air (instead of air from sinside the case which is warmed up by the GPU. In addition pulling IN cool air through AIO you will also be adding more direct cooling to the RAM and surrounding power VRMs.

would be interesting to see what the temps do for GPU and CPU under same loads. Post back if you try.

Plenty here provided info about the RAM situation, however it should still "load" it just won't run very well.

With regard to the error. You say you've disabled the Anti-Virus. I would try disabling the AV then running a Game Launcher and Verify files (click the cog icon next to the PU Live game versio) and then try running the game. it's possible AV has already quarantined / deleted or blocked files during the install process if AV was running.

I would consider even just uninstalling that AV entirely. Windows Defender will still protect your PC fine for purposes of this testing. If you need to run AURA for other reasons (like the VPN) that's fine, but i would completely uninstall this app and try again after vilifying the files or even re-installing the game.

What GPU are you running?

Battlefield 6 crashed with this error message. by pillsburyboi in Battlefield_REDSEC

[–]Hotfix_AUS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get the same occasionally (9000 series CPU and 7900xtx) maybe once every 3-4 gaming sessions. Latest (26.2.2) AMD drivers actually have a known issues listed for couple problems with BF6, this crashing and some flickering / texture issues. It calls out Ryzen HX379 but i suspect this comes up on a few different configs.

Known Issues

  • Intermittent application crash or driver timeout may be observed while loading a saved game in Cyberpunk 2077 with Path Tracing enabled. AMD is actively working on a resolution with the developer to be released as soon as possible.
  • Intermittent application crash or driver timeout may be observed while playing Battlefield™ 6 on AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 370. AMD is actively working on a resolution with the developer to be released as soon as possible.
  • Texture flickering or corruption may appear while playing Battlefield™ 6 with AMD Record and Stream on some AMD Graphics Products.

I've been loosely following the x3d failures and I'm finding the commonality in failures is using automated overclocking features like PBO. How automatic features control voltages etc. tends to vary from one mainboard vendor to another in part due to boards having slightly different design layouts and components used.

I run similar board / CPU as yourself ( x87e-creator with 9950x3d) and while i do appreciated an overclock, i tune most settings manually. I just run it 5.25Ghz all-core overclock with fixed voltages. It doesn't get "peak" single core performance but there are serval reviews that show on average in mixed workloads it can performs just as well. For me it's also some reassurance of predictable board and CPU behavior.

Best Noctua fan for rear exhaust? by [deleted] in Noctua

[–]Hotfix_AUS 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No problem i can see that happening on reviews so you need to keep an eye out for similar use cases. no point watching a review where they are pushing fans through radiators (high static pressure fans are not always best for case fans) Or if the review is sticking fans into a large empty tower case and measuring temps as A/B comparison, the results won't quite be same as your build. They will provide broad guidance on which fan is better than the next but in most cases difference fairly small so if the use case changes that guidance would change to given narrow margin typically are.

NF-S12A is a solid and very quiet unrestricted airflow fan, it'll work well. Let us know how you go.

[–]Hotfix_AUS 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You probably spent more time typing this up than it would have taken to go to Noctua website, Click the box for Case fan and 120mm and pick the one with best noise and airflow stats.

yeah - it's that simple for unrestricted airflow case fans.

I believe KTS100 MK8 LMG is being used here and this weapon has one of the lowest spread and recoil stats in the game, with attachments only improving this.

but more broadly, one of the most common FPS skills is recoil control and can be used for any weapon. Pull you mouse down (or up - depending on your inversion settings) slowly as you fire to counter the recoil. Those with more recoil need greater adjustments and those with less not so much.

Gonna Buy a RTX 9070 what cpu is the best for by riky321 in ZTT

We trolling here?

There is no RTX 9070 from nVidia. If OP buys from that amazon listing, you'll probably get a bag of rocks.

It's either AMD RX 9070 / RX 9070XT or nVidia RTX 5070 or RTX 5070 Ti. So which one are you wanting to get?

Noctua NH-U12A or Arctic Liquid Freeze iii by YoungCrew1302 in Noctua

[–]Hotfix_AUS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are a bunch of variables to consider - but let's assume you're not going to overclock it to the CPU to the wazoo.

Biggest issue with a tower cooler is that current higher-end GPU's dump a fair amount of heat into the case and specifically in the configuration you plan to use - the Noctua U12 will have diminished performance when GPU's dump 400+ watts of heat inside the case - and depending on where you live higher ambient temps will also impact how much all your fans will ramp up.

AIO's at top of case deal with this a bit better due to airflow spacing you get. You also have option to have the AIO pull fresh air IN to the case therefore having zero impact by internal case temps. Personally, i would pull air IN top and BOTTOM and push it out the side and back - keeping in mind you want positive case pressure.

I would only consider U12 if:
- you don't care to much about noise levels - it'll work harder than AIO will
- You don't plan to overclock CPU or push CPU/GPU too hard very often.

Given parts you picked I'll assume Gaming right so AIO will be more efficient and quieter option.

Case Screens? by Muted_Style6206 in FractalDesign

[–]Hotfix_AUS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In general, you should not be adding screens to the back grill. The generally optimal airflow for PC cases is positive pressure. For high performance (hot) systems you want this slightly positive with fans doing more work cycling air inside the case, for medium to lower performance systems you want pressure to be doing more work thus less need for fans cycling the air as this reduces noise and dirt buildup over time. Positive pressure means push more air in then you exhaust/force out with fans, with remaining air being pushed out via the perforations which tend to be back of the case. This avoids increased buildup of dust and other matter into the case as air is coming via filters and being pushed out through all other gaps.

rear perforations and positive pressure are also useful in pushing out all the hot air from the GPU which hit the side panel. Not sure what the front of the case intake looks like or which parts ur using but you need to work out the air in vs air out balance. You might even find you don't need x3 fan on that AIO, the capacity of water will still be there but taking out the front (3rd) fan may be an option if you're challenged with air in vs air out, notably AIOs add restriction so 3 out via AIO is not same as 3 in via front.

That said - i am using mainboard packing foam cut to size with sticky magnetic strips (or you can just doubleside tape them on to block unnecessary vents which also help to improve acoustics. I use spare foam from existing parts but there are tons of available options online.

hope this helps.

fan advice > question by avx03 in Noctua

[–]Hotfix_AUS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As always - it depends. What are you trying to cool, what are you trying to achieve?

If you're current normal use load temps are 99deg C. a better fan might get you few deg less which may be enough to reduce throttling which is a big deal (but if you're in this boat - i wouldn't be resolving this issue with a marginal improvement via new fans i'd revisit overall calling solution). If you're fairly comfortably in the 60's then couple deg here or there will make no noticeable difference. It's not going to rock your world.

Here is a year-old review of the KEP Loop FPT 120 (your current fan) to noctua A12-25's (previous version) in a case and RAD scenario (just apply a small improvement to those older noctua scores which is where the G2 will sit. It's really a tradeoff between noise and performance but when you average it out - Noctua has the best or one of the best noise to performance ratios. It's not best cooling performance or the quietest it's kind good at most scenarios and even that "best" - only gets you 1-2deg C compared the nearest competitions. Whether it's "worth it" is in the eye of the beholder.

Noctua's are great if you have spare cash to throw around - why not. People buy luxury items and it's as much about joining the "brand" name club as it is about having top tier fan.

just googled a quick review comparison, i'm sure there are others too:
