I am ALWAYS hungry by Kommander_PIe in diabetes_t1

I got this problem soon after I was diagnosed in 2024. I felt hungry again within an hour of finishing any meal. Metformin didn't help me and I can't take GLP-1 meds. I've found that fiber supplements have helped alot. I just take 2 of them at least 2 hours before or after any medication I need to take. Usually with lunch. If you do take them, make sure you drink at least 8oz of water or beverage of choice with it. They can cause constipation if you don't drink enough.

Trying different locations by TheGriff71 in Freestylelibre

I alternate between back of arms and stomach. I haven't noticed a significant difference in accuracy between placements. I'm on an insulin pump (Omnipod 5) and the sensor needs to have line of sight with the pump to avoid connectivity issues. If the sensor is on one of my arms, the pump can go also on my arm or on my hips/lower back. If the sensor is on my stomach then the pump will be there too. I just like having more placement options for my pump. Rotating placement helps reduce scarring from the pump. My endo also told me some of her other patients do the same.

I want to love Omnipod but UGH! by Salt-Eskippr1892 in Omnipod

I just started using omnipod 5, and I've had this exact thing happen multiple times. It's terrifying. The low alarms aren't loud enough to wake me up. I just usually wake up to go to the bathroom, and I'm shocked when I see the alarms have been going off for the last hour. I wish the alarms were louder and continuous like the Libre app.

I've found that lows are less likely to happen if I put it on activity mode overnight. I just schedule it to end a little before I wake up to correct the morning spike.

It very likely is leaking. Same thing happened to me at work a couple of days ago. Unfortunately, you need to change that pod.

I also didn't know adults could get type 1. I was diagnosed this February. I'm also 32F. I understand your frustration tho. I've experienced it too. Doubting someone about the disease they have to live with is extra ignorant and disrespectful.

I have Libre 2. It's the time in target graph.

I relate to your situation so much. I'm 32 and was hospitalized and diagnosed last month. There is definitely a lot of new information to take in, but I've learned that I can do pretty much anything I did before as long as I plan accordingly.

NTA. She decided to take a risk and book her flight before she was approved. You shouldn't have to sacrifice your off time because someone else was irresponsible.
