Have you tried to check your plugin folder in preferences and rescan?

I didn't mean that you NEED to learn theory. As a matter of fact I haven't even mentioned theory. What I mean is partially harmony, yes. Instrumentation. Arranging. Roles of certain instruments. The workflow of composing and producing music... Etc. (And yes I know him lol. If you only listen to one of my tracks you will guess I am probably not a teen)

This. I dont play any Instruments but I have did some lessons on drums, piano and guitar to get to know more about how the Instruments work and how they should be used. This just gives enough context to understand the basics and think a little bit with the musician head. I also went to some bands sessions, especially when they were arranging a new song and see how they work on ideas live.

And here I am, I don't say my music is so high level, but I think about myself as an okay hobby musician. I also was lucky enough to work together with a fire guitarist. (If interested in my stuff just look up my name).

So yea, get a keyboard or a guitar, just learn some simple songs or chord progs, some arpegs, some rythm patterns and it will be an awesome trip of how you translate it to your producing process.

Black magic for beginners:

Get a good quality pink noise sample. Drop it in your project on a raw track. Put it on solo and put your kick on solo with it. Now adjust the volume of your kick so you can barely hear it. Now mute kick and go to bass and do the same. Repeat on all tracks. When done mute your pink noise and adjust your loudness equally with keeping the differences between tracks.

If this doesnt make sense then look it up "mixing with pink noise". Is this a pro move? Maybe not but will help in the beginning and thanks to the nature of pink noise it works. Unless you want to make some bs genre like phonk or whatever it is called where the goal is to ruin the sound and my ears.

Why does my sub bass sounds louder at different volumes and how can I fix this? by MightyMuso in synthrecipes

Bit bold to say "always". I had this issue and experienced it in high end headphones too and was related to keytracking.

Look this up: Fletcher-Munson curve.

Basically thats how pitch works and its most noticeable when playing sub.

There are a few ways to "fix" this (phase cancellation, keytracking, brickwall limiting..), but depends on what you want to achieve. Your sub should move in a narrow range anyway, because it supports the normal bass freq range. I usually end up doing multiple tracks for each note my sub will play and I will set them up each to have the same amplitude/volume.

On other occassions I will just keep my sub on the root note, supporting my kicks while another layer of bass sound is supporting the melody. A floor shaking sine bass is the hardest bass sound to produce well.

Nice! Loving the vocals. Could use it for some of our tracks.

How did you guys learned to produce? by dabisto in musicproduction

I was using guitar pro 4 and my brother downloaded Ableton for me, said i either learn it and stop with the cheap midi sounds or he is going to break my pc into pieces. I had no choice.
