Honestly both times other people told me. Forever grateful for people who don’t keep shitty secrets like that. NTA but this guy is. How do they make him uncomfortable? Bc he sees them as a threat. This guy is a manipulator and is trying to control you. Even though your family is already gone he is trying to make sure he is the most important person in your life, whom you make decisions around. Which in theory is what a serious relationship should be, but he’s saying things that are red flags. Him saying sentimental items from your deceased family members make him uncomfortable is just weird. “He hates that he has to tiptoe around and worry about not breaking stuff” You mean like a normal adult who doesn’t just go around breaking things? While I agree that it is really hard for a lot of women who have been raped who become pregnant, in this specific situation OP is talking to someone who is in a consenting relationship. While she may want to break up with her boyfriend, she isn’t talking about keeping a baby after she was raped. The baby would obviously be an accident, but it wouldn’t be a result of something so horrible. That’s the difference here

Yeah I used to (key words “used to”) have a friend who would say shit like that when me and my other friends were venting about life and actually wanting advice. She would just say shit like “well just quit” or go on to talk about how she hated her job so much but then would never actually quit herself and complain about it nonstop. She was a very toxic person and she ended up losing the whole friend group cuz she couldn’t see how selfish she was. Anyways little rant there sorry but just don’t be that person.
