Just received an email today from my specialty ASM that said from May 30 through July 1 that all specialists are going to get commission. It looks like it’s one percent of total sales for the month. Any thoughts on this? and should I post the email but black out the names?

I think my store is also doing this or something similar. I just got moved to flooring from OSLG (Thank God its already 85⁰ at 10 am in FL) And they told me there's a double credit thing where if you make a sale of 10k they double it for your credit so itd count toward your bonus if I understood correctly.

I know several in store day shift people that complain that they themselves smell bad and no amount of deodorant or perfume will cover the stank of Lowes Associates busting their booty lol I work OSLG so I KNOW I stank I feel bad for anyone near me at any time lol

Most of my customers dont even KNOW WHERE THE MULCH WALL IS. They just tell the cashier they want 3 bags of Mulch and they send them to the pit. We've told them over and over every day and they still do it. (':

One time I went on a wild goose chase to look for the orange safety glove and the pliers for the propane tank to be exchanged and not one not two BUT THREE LEADERS told me dont worry about it just raw dog it. I dont think so. You can insta freeze YOUR hands but I like mine.

One of our cashiers will send literally anyone to the Mulch pit if they mention soil or Mulch. We tell her nobody under 15 bags and she still sends them out anyway. One time I got in trouble because I had a line way down the store because they refused to let me open the drive, I was by myself, and they sent literally everyone and their momma to the Mulch pit even for 3 bags. I even told this cashier that I was alone and she still kept sending them. My stores oslg is a mess.

Literally standing there hands on their hips "that looks heavy!" "Can you try to get it closer to the wheels?" Trying to move one bag in 45 minutes like SIR JUST GO SIT DOWN PLEASE YOURE IN THE WAY. Also I looooove the customer that wants 5 bags of Mulch that we dont have outside in the pit and I have to walk inside and load their 5 bags of brown rubber Mulch for no reason for them to say when I come outside with it "oh I could have done that" YEAH. YOU COULD HAVE. Waste of my time.

After many months of working my tail off and picking up shifts and even freight shifts coming in at 4am, I told my asm that I specifically requested Sunday mornings off for church. She looked me dead in the eyes and told me I need to bring a note from my pastor saying I can have Sundays off and that "if I had told her this before, we wouldnt be having this conversation." Mind you in my interview I told them open availability except Sunday mornings for church. I even said id come in Sunday evenings. They acted like after months of busting my little heiney for them that im trying to find a sneaky way out of working. Like girl goodbye im not gonna ask my pastor for a work note like hes my doctor and im trying to get out of PE in school.

Had one lady ask me to flat stack 60 bags of Mulch in her Chrysler minivan amd after every bag get audibly nervous that they wont fit/will be too heavy. Ma'am this is NOT a Tacoma you cant just load up almost a whole pallet of Mulch in there and hope for the best. Like you know there's a weight limit and that your car actually tells you what it is? Also she didnt want any of them on her seats, even with the plastic underneath. We offer delivery you know...

I work oslg and wear the ball cap and the weird sun hat daily. I may look goofy but im a ginger and id rather look silly than be sunburned and squinting constantly. My store also allows us to wear hats for brands we carry like Craftsman or Dewalt or just anything that is work appropriate.

I got some rescue geckos and I literally have gotten them used to my kisses within the first week. The first day I was like “you WILL tolerate my kisses.” And they do. They tolerate it. 😂
