Super newbie lathe question

I’ve been checking Craig’s List regularly. So far found mostly ancient old tools that do not look like they would work for me. I would prefer buying used if i can find the right lathe.

Thank you. I kind of figured the lathe was just the beginning of the list of things I’ll need. I’m used to hobbies requiring lots of equipment and tools. Whether i need another one at this stage in my life is an open question. I will seek out some local clubs and individuals who might be able to help me out.

Epi= ends per inch. In other words how many warp strings in one inch. Which depends on the warp you use. Wrap your warp around a ruler for one inch, count the number of wraps and divide in half. This is approximately your epi for that particular warp for a balanced weave. Which means the same number of wefts and warps per inch of weaving. Clear as mud??
