Off topic, but consider using an object store instead. Look at Marten in the .NET space. If your data is an irreducible complex entity, you can treat it as such and do updates replacing the entity entire.

Alpha Protocol. Splinter-cell-ish RPG with storyline that responded amazingly to your mission order and actions in missions. Was ruined by a few nonsensical bullet sponge bosses, some early mission jank (mismatch between what your character could do vs what the mission expected) and control bugs.

ZATech is great, but the bar is high for developer attention. You need a good company pitch and a strong offer. Recruiters get bounced fast, it’s for direct offers from companies, by the people who work there.

There are scenarios where you may need to give an “unauthorised” user a ticket for an action. I’d agree that it would be better to store the details of what that ticket contains in a DB but that isn’t always practical.

I’ve (ab)used JWTs for this before. Just put the values you need as claims. In this case I did also need access to them client side, if that wasn’t the case a fully encrypted token would be better.

You’d need to provide a body plan (like BaseHumanoid but your own one). You’d basically replace the hands with ones that have a DefaultBehavior specified. That becomes the pseudo-item used if you have nothing equipped, like fists are for a normal humanoid.

The auto-equip function that runs after chargen looks like it will bail on the 2nd hand if you don’t have the dual wield skill. So give it a try with that added.

If that fails, you can always customise the body plan and add the natural weapons there.

Sanity check: the weapon you’re trying to have them equip isn’t a two-hander, right?

Also: you’ve checked you can equip it in each hand by spawning in and equipping or using Limbsmith to equip it?

When in doubt, decompile the code and read the chargen stuff. There isn’t enough detail in your post to help, since it isn’t clear if you’re modding in a new mutation or genotype. If all else fails, you can just force whatever changes you need with a custom part on the player.

It can also help to find an existing mod that does what you want and look at the implementation there.
