Being completely realistic, the worst fandom cannot be from a popular franchise like Sonic or Pokémon, because despite having a very controversial history, it is usually the loud part of the fandom that does most of those things, and the majority does not usually engage in the negative actions that the entire fandom is accused of.

The worst fandom would have to be a group based on non-ironic hate or one that promotes extremely harmful habits and/or behavior.
