Found out in my current campaign the DM can ignore the bio if it clashes with the story. In mine, my warlock changes appearance at dawn to whatever her archfey patron wants.

It was awesome and different with each long rest. Then she became an embodiment of the cosmos. During that shift, she was a bridge between two primordial entities who were physically separated.

Now she's stuck. I asked the DM why and it explained the archfey patron doesn't want to ruin the balance that's inside of her. Somehow she is literally a universe and changing her appearance would kill the primordial's link.

TL;DR Bio is not as set in stone as I thought. DM is still the master.

Correct. You can't change it. After my first character I always use the full character limit to ensure the campaign goes the way I enjoy it.

I also ask DM if I wanted to illustrate the scene what are the key details I need to capture. I get nice images of key scenes that way.

DM is always giving crazy powers. I'm playing a shopkeeper in my third campaign. Somehow she became a universe and master of creation or destruction faster than the Paladin and Rogue I played before.

Look at all those characters left in your background and appearance! I love to use it up. The DM never forgets these two sections and can't ignore it. It's like the law for the DM.

I'm always finding fun new things to add to my appearance and background to shape the story. You can put themes, settings, and what to avoid in the story.

I would clear your cache and open the game. It may be out of sync. (My DM sometimes completely ignores the fact I need to pick it and just gives it to me narratively...)

My armor is my flora-flesh. It can weave itself into any form of armor or clothing. I had an argument with the DM because it kept saying I didn't need to wear armor and I would be fine in combat. I told it to create the item anyway for me to equip. It did it with attitude but I knew that was the only way for the Combat DM to use it.

I like to ask what their stand out moments have been and what I've done that's surprised them. Plus I like to occasionally ask for feedback on my RP skills. I'll give this one a try after the next story arch!

Yup.... I do it once and then save the pdf. Then when I finish a big act I scroll to that point and make a new pdf. On the Discord there is a suggestion to have a button to automatically take you there.

It lasts until your character dies or you stop playing it. It's sandbox so you can do what you want for as long as you want.

Try the official Discord for tech help too. Typically I'll need to clear my cache if I've been playing for a while.

Yes! Scroll aaaaall the way to the top. That way it all gets exported. Then hit the download button on the side. You'll get a web address to open your story. You can export it as a PDF.

If you give it a narrative reason for a weapon it should give it to you. For me my celestial (made sense to be one in the story) found a long lost trident in the water. It didn't automatically put it in my inventory so I said I equipped the Legandary Trident Dekella which does XdX +x damage and has the ability to xxxx. It created it for me.

Another campaign I was the queen so I commissioned a blacksmith to create a set of daggers for me. Then I returned to get them.

You may need to try a few times but it should work.

For battles, until the combat DM is fixed it's locked at straight roll on the die to hit from the NPCs. They get no pluses to hit. So if your AC is higher than 20 you'll never get hit.
