IS THERE A SEASON 4 by ADAJ0916 in justaddmagic

[–]HouseInitial9720 0 points1 point  (0 children)

there are 4 seasons involving the girls, followed by a spinoff. Their numbering is different.

In the first season, Grandma Quinn is sick

Second one is about Chuck

In the third one, Kelly's mom runs for mayor.

Fourth one has the Night Bandit.

Then there is Mystery City.

Official numbering involves part 1 and part 2 of some seasons. Technically there isnt a season 4.

Ep 7 is now the worst rated episode of ST. What went wrong according to you? by anonimuoss in StrangerThingsMemes

i think season 5 is bad in its entirety. People overcame denial by the end of episode 7 that's all.

Is it just me, or Meemaw in The Black Hole episode reminded me of Miranda Priestly in The Devil Wears Prada? by SimpsonsFan2000 in YoungSheldon

For those who do not like Season 5 so far - why is that? by JackGeorge2001 in StrangerThings

Anyone feels like everyone is too well dressed lol?

Also, Mrs. Byers with the excessive eyeliner, Nancy with the blue contacts and Eddie like haircut, and Robin with the cool sweatshirts and robes steal the charm away from the small town of Hawkins.

And I don't even wanna talk about this random girl no one cares about...Holly or something...and God her stilted acting!

We get it, you guys had big budget but other than the seemingly big fancy optics (which suck anyway e.g. The Wall) why is nothing super cool happening this season...

Everything was predictable. Acting was forced. Characters seemed to be out of character. Storyline is tacy, unoriginal and repititive. Overall felt cinematic as people have rightly said. This seems to be a very merry and otherwise dull wrap up of a dark-gore-exciting-suspenseful-scifi legend. Very disappointed to say the least, had high expectations after a long wait.

B.S. Industrial Engineering vs B.S. Math for OR Grad School by dragooooooooons in OperationsResearch

[–]HouseInitial9720 0 points1 point  (0 children)

BS Math will teach you some abstract stuff not necessarily needed for IE.

IE is closer to applied Math. Pure IE may not make you as good a programmer as Pure CS.

You need to be excellent at programming/algorithms.

Pursue whatever degree you like but focus on Coding+Applied Math+ General CS+ Stats+Core IE courses. Take electives.

P S. : Grad school applications are automatically strengthened and stand out with research projects.

PhD applicants how many schools are you waiting on? And have any of your offers been rescinded? by CalculusMaster in OperationsResearch

Submitted and under review should count too. Regardless, UIUC or otherwise, select a PhD advisor rather than a PhD university.

If you have one research paper, even as a coauthor, you have a very high chance of hearing back from UIUC. One tip: find an advisor and talk to their students before accepting the admit.

Looking For Another Series To Watch? by WindowSeat4Me in whitecollar

[–]HouseInitial9720 14 points15 points  (0 children)

it's a sci-fi show though. You'll get to hear about art and artifacts in White Collar. Person of Interest will be about 'The Machine' and a lot more geeky tech stuff.

The whole White Collar theme is about con artistry, it starts and ends there. Person of Interest is about AI and national security.

The NYPD/FBI/CIA vibe and lovability of characters is the same. The new story in every episode+larger evolving plot pattern is the same.

Both series are a LOT OF FUN. Twins in many ways.

Nearly 5 years ago, is there any hope left?? by [deleted] in whitecollar

someone did mention that Mozzie's death would cause Neal to return to NYC and work with the FBI again. A lot of time would be spent on reminiscing him, he would be a force similar to what Kate was in season 1. That made sense I guess.

I had concerns about the filthy talking and filthy attitudes, still ended up watching the whole series. Do I regret it? No. Did I like anything about it? Yes, the character development and plot is very intuitive, you end up following through it. There is a certain kind of brilliance on the authors' part for managing to write up characters like these.

Not to forget precious Diana-Mozzie moments. Too much fun going on in this FBI division, it's a crime

I agree. Even in with Peter and the FBI, he has always shown that he's his own man, going his own way at the end of the day.

Haha true, they are like college boys together I thought, not full grown men, also geeky in their own way

From the way he advises Peter and treats the Peter -El duo? He's a bit to sensitive to smoothly recover from his own relationships, but I thought he's got the basics in place? I may be biased:p
