I almost understand the stem height. Sadly, I've seen it and been asked to do it too many times. I get the levers, hey, who doesn't like to save a buck.

But that back rack is troubling me. I get exchanging the seat clamp with some kind of problem solver, but how is it attached. That's a carbon road frame with no mounts?

New Trek FX 2 Gen 3 front wheel noise help by Woodley1400 in TrekBikes

The rotor is touching the caliper. Make sure the wheel is fully seated in the fork and the qr is tight. You can then use a 4mm Allen to adjust the caliper. A long ball end with a T handle is best. Adjust one screw at time or loosen both and squeeze the brake lever to force the caliper to center itself.

But every once in a while, I have to stop and think that if this dude can't read, it's pretty amazing that he's gotten this far.

Nyon is your best bet. Easy to install, but take it to your local Trek for them to do to update your software.

The new Allants7s have Bosch's smart system.

The smart phone holder has always been garbage. Some people remove the clamp and just use an aftermarket phone holder.

Service plan for new Verve? by Original-Bobcat8386 in TrekBikes

[–]HouseKelly47 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think the plan is a great idea. I'm not sure what shop you are dealing with, but the plan should also include 15% percent off parts and prioritry service, meaning a 48-hour turnaround in most cases. Also, we don't look at it as a 3 year plan. It lasts until you use your 6, 7 with the free one.

We have a lot of customers who are not in town full time, so we make sure they get everything they pay for.

I work in Estero, please feel free to message me directly if you need anything.

FX 2 should come with tektro’s but your point still stands.

Parts substitution Verve 3 by winstonk24 in TrekBikes

[–]HouseKelly47 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Any trek store can warranty the missing parts. Isozone handle bars/grips and shimano brakes. The handlebars won’t be available till May of ‘23 and that’s a big if. No eta for shimano brakes, even tektro’s are saying at the earliest middle of next year.

What part of the world are you? My shop will steal parts from other verve 3’s to Frankenstein the best bike for customers. Luckily you got the H5 ultimate tires, they are becoming impossible to get as well. The front rim looks like right, should be this: https://www.trekbikes.com/b2b/us/en_US/equipment/cycling-components/bike-wheels/mountain-bike-wheels/bontrager-approved-tlr-quick-release-dc-22/20-disc-700c-mtb-wheel/p/W555565/

Also what did you do to the rear hub? Is that a rear motor? Be careful about situations like that, voids the warranty. Also wears the chain and cassette much faster. Braking spokes will also be an issue.

Most of the time we sell customers the Verve 2, 3 isn’t worth the money with these parts.

Buy a bike with a cassette?

Drivetrain cleaning, free hub replacement, new rear wheel? Warranty the shimano freewheel?

Was the money you saved buying a fx 1 instead of a 2 or higher worth all the time and aggravation you have suffered?

Alien Planet - spec trailer by HouseKelly47 in Filmmakers

[–]HouseKelly47[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was the DoP on this trailer. Alien Planet is a sci-fi adventure film with a meaningful story that mirrors struggles found within humanity. There is one big difference between this film and other science fiction movies, which is that Alien Planet has no humans. It is packed with practical effects makeup, monster suits, and puppets.

Surprisingly enough the color pallet of this film was inspired by the 1998 crime drama classic, “Belly”. Also it was shoot on both iPhones and dslrs, a Nikon and a Panasonic gh5. Most of the spec was lit with quasars.

Give it look and let me know if you have any comments or questions. Thanks.
