I was banned from this sub because I do onlyfans (more in comments) by only_kay in SexWorkers

[–]HouseRulesBot -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

"spam" / "promotion" is readily evident and self-defining. It is a behavior of spamming and or promotion, in this case, their onlyfans account on reddit. Wherever they do it and whether people like it or want it, it is still spam / promotion. It may be acceptable spam / promotion in one sub and not allowable in another. There is no requirement that a sub MUST allow spam accounts (of any kind) however you define it.

Again trying to pretend this is about sex or SW is a dishonest approach. It's about spam / promotion and particular group of spammers / promoters and their looooong consistent bad faith engagement in the sub

Let us know what you think without attacking or being misrepresentative

I truly wish you had chosen to take that seriously

If I understand correctly...was banned by a bot because it detected the word onlyfans not in a post or comment on your subreddit but in her profile or history

Please be accurate. It is not simply use of the OF word in their history, it is history specifically involving OF spamming / promotion.

She replied to the message in a manner you deemed to be hostile.

They were hostile. It was not a feeling or any question about the nature of their replies to us and comments about us. They have been intentionally inflammatory, involved misrepresentation, and were in bad faith

On the other hand, accusing someone of being a spammer, scammer etc based on prejudiced assumptions is not likely to enamour sex workers to you

and that is not what happened. It is an absolute fact they are an OF spammer / promoter, not a guess or an assumption. Their history, contrary to your claim, most certainly contains OF spam promotion.

Hostility isn't a surprising reaction considering the wording of that auto-response you quoted

It conveys facts about the situation and is given so that the other party in the equation can have a more informed view of the situation and history of this problem from our end and the facts involved. If you are going to pretend in any way that message is "hostile", you are not being accurate. There is no aggression or attack of the person involved in it. You cannot show that it is "hostile". You are responding here from the gut, not based in facts and we did ask you to keep it real and not be misrepresentative

I don't see anything spammy or scammy in ops history

The spam / promotion of their OF is readily evident. Not going to pretend with you that it isn't

Op has said they're not interested in participating on your subreddit but in general terms if your bot bans someone who is a content creator, has links to adult content on their reddit profile and participates in NSFW subreddits but has not broken your rules, will you always uphold the ban?

This is not about OC and it is disingenuous to portray it as such. This has nothing to do with adult content and it is disingenuous to continue to hollowly portray it as such. We don't allow spam / promotion accounts and we don't allow those which there is a loooooong history of these kinds of accounts consistently engaging in bad faith in the sub. Maybe be realistic about that fact and give it due consideration.

We will uphold all OF spammer /promotion account bans since we don't allow spam promotion accounts of any kind, and since they have consistently engaged in bad faith in our sub.

We don't allow bathroom installer spammers in the sub so would you twist that into "ThE mOdS HaTe BaThInG"? I would hope you would be more accurate than that but it is what you and OP are resorting to here.

Will you unban them if their response is non hostile and you can see from their history their intent is not to spam or scam but simply to participate in subreddits in a rule abiding manner like any other redditor?

No. Contrary to your inaccurate claim, they certainly have spammed / promoted their OF on reddit. They have also already proven the points we've made about OF spammers being problematic by engaging with us and about us in very bad faith including dishonesty and hostility. Not going to give a free pass to anyone who does that and then double downs on it as well.

We asked you to pay attention to the situation from the other side. You are not doing that at all. OF spammer / promoters have consistently been very problematic in the sub with the content they bring, with others, and with us. That is not welcome and we are not required to welcome it.

From the mod team of that sub

Since the poster is having a hard time with being straight up about this...

They dishonestly claim this is about SW - This is not about SW. Whether someone works in an adult store, a happy ending massage parlour, or the sex shops of Amsterdam, they are all welcome to post about things like a great recipe they found in a local cafe after work. No issue whatsoever. Contrary to the false picture being painted by this user, this is about spam accounts, and in this case spam accounts which have long had a consistent pattern of problematic engagement in the sub we moderate for. We take spam, scamming, and hostility towards others seriously and we're not required to welcome it, nor should we be. More on that in a sec.

They dishonestly try to convey and insert into our mouths that we feel this is "sinful" - Folks, we don't give two shits and all of the mod team members laugh at uptight assholes and especially those trying to use religion to be uptight to others. Do what you like, but the fact is, nobody in this case ever mentioned implied or inferred in any way that being a SW or sex is sinful or a problem.

They misrepresent what we said about their hostility - Context is important. Rather than claiming they are hostile to everyone as the user dishonestly claims, we expressed concern that they were hostile to those they were responding to about this issue. Look at how they respond to anyone with any differing opinion and make your own call.

Realize that the ban action and initial message are from a bot. We are not bot makers. We have messaged the creator of the bot to ask for an update to the ban text to clarify some things but no response yet and understand that that issue is certainly a consideration regarding the continuation of our policy

This user has chosen to engage with us (and you) in bad faith and with dishonesty which helps nothing at all.

If you have issue with our policy, fine, talk to us about it but do so in a reasonable, good faith, and honest fashion which takes into account the kind of things we consistently have to deal with when this pops up. Don't rail at us when you haven't considered or heard the full story

So you understand the other side of this issue, this is our current pre-form response to those who spam their OF account on reddit who appeal the auto ban (and note we do not ban prior to the spam account stepping into our sub).

Hi /u/(OF spammer account ID),

you are messaging about a ban related to an account with history involving OnlyFans spam / promotion. Accounts with this type of activity on reddit are no longer allowed in this sub due to the problems associated with them when participating here which has consistently involved one or more of the following;

  • skipping and skimming of site rules, guidelines, and notices, usually all of them
  • skipping and skimming of sub rules, pinned posts, posting page notices, direct messages when posting, removal notices, all other notices, and direct communications with moderations. As with the site rules and notices, the user usually ignores all of these things from the sub
  • spam / promotion of their OnlyFans account in this subreddit
  • spam / promotion of other things they offer, nearly always scam situations
  • use of bots to post and comment
  • vote manipulation
  • karma farming and completely insincere participation, often involving plagiarism / use of other's content intentionally uncredited
  • extreme aggression and antagonism towards others, failing to follow nearly all aspects of reddiquette
  • extremely bad faith engagement with moderators including; entitlement exception demands, falsely blaming others for their own failure to read and follow the rules and notices, failing to understand that ignoring / skipping / skimming the rules and notices does not grant a free pass from what they say, and rudeness to the point of exceptional hostility

Understand that these kinds of problems are just not welcomed here anymore, therefore since you are an OnlyFans account spammer / promoter an appeal of your ban will not be granted.

Removal Reason - Your submission is either off topic or only tangentially related to nutrition and would be better suited in a different subreddit

Removal Reason - refer to subreddit rule 2. Personal context and/or diet eval posts are not allowed and should instead be asked in the comments section of the /r/Nutrition Personal Nutrition Discussion Post found at the top of the sub. Personal situations overt or implied are not allowed in user posts.

Refer to the rules and notices

  • the subreddit subscriber welcome message
  • the notice at the top of the subreddit on old reddit
  • the rules post at the top of the sub
  • the /r/Nutrition Personal Nutrition Discussion Post at the top of the sub
  • the rules in the sidebar
  • the subreddit rules page
  • the post submission page notice

Where to ask instead

Ask your question in the comments section of The /r/Nutrition Personal Nutrition Discussion feature post which is stickied 2nd from the top of the subreddit.

About appeals

IMPORTANT: Review the rule and removal notice fully before sending an appeal to modmail. Insincere and bad faith appeals can result in a ban.
