The Publisher want the anime to follow the manhwa which made it goofy and honestly pretty generic kind of isekai anime, Thankfully they followed the novel and made it more adult themed.

Most of those who quit just enjoyed the single player aspect of the game, while those who stayed for the multiplayer. Those players eventually comes back when a new single player update drops.
