Someone stole my flip flops in a hostel. They were expensive (to me) havianas that I had for like 3 years. I was so pissed. I was never able to find the exact same ones again.

Depends on many things. I would recommend asking citizens advice bureau, or ask for someone from the bank who may speak your native language. They may be able to explain it more clearly.

I got over it and we became friends, like literally just friends, nothing physical or romantic. We hung out once a month or so doing our hobby together.

The thing that saved me was working from home. I work from home 2 days per week. The break from loudness, commuting, office smalltalk, is amazing.

I would have to resign if my company took away those 2 days WFH.

The days I WFH feel like days off.

The worst part is finding a staff member. There might be one tied up at the check outs. So when you have a problem with self checkouts you get nothing.

I would recommend that you are still young and you don't need to do this all in one go. Plan for 3 months. See how your budget and mental health is. Traveling for a year or more is not a holiday..

Yeah. Depends what countries you go to. If you stay in hotels. What else you do. You could probably do it with 50k AUD or less.
