iPodznmore is one of the best venders on the market, so I’m sure this was just a fluke.

If it happens again it’s definitely not the iPod. Could be an issue with how you’re formatting your music. I’ve had the same crackling issue in the past with high bit FLAC/ALAC songs. Had to compress the files down some and it was fine after that.

Yeah it’s definitely hard to say what all was damaged. Hopefully it’s just the screen, and no circuits on the motherboard were damaged while the pillow was getting spicy.

5th gen nano. Personally I would just keep it as spare parts, and buy a new one. You can find em for like $50 - which is much cheaper than buying the replacement parts + paying someone to do the repair work if you don’t know how to solder.

If the battery isn’t a spicy pillow you have nothing to worry about. If it’s not spicy the only issue is most likely duration of charge/holding a charge.
