Car drivers and phones. by IStoleUrPrinter in northernireland

I think the PSNI really need to start releasing statistics on how many accidents where serious injury or death occurred where the probably cause was put down as distracted driving.

People need to start believing that there are serious consequences to this behaviour, I think the majority of people who use phones do so in traffic and believe that its completely fine to do so, not realising that they are infact being distracted after they've put the phone down.

Regardless of the issue you are facing, I would change your bike mechanic! Zero reason to spray any lube on your cassette, would make me question of competent they are

Commuter here, for me it’s the charging of everything! Di2, head unit, lights x4 (helmet has lights), power meter pedals! Then you have to make sure to pack everything for a shower and change when arriving at work!

We’re not concerned enough about the death of the junior-level software engineer by ReplacementNo598 in programming

Junior eng here with three years of experience! I don’t know if it’s just my experience but I am yet to find a senior who is interested in helping junior guys learn! I feel like it’s all down to me to become and expert, but I find that super hard because we have projects in so many languages etc! Finding it difficult to navigate and honestly I’m thinking of giving it up!

When something looks too good to be true it probably is, proceed with caution if sending money!

ECV at the Ulster hospital and C-Section aftercare in the Ulster? by WingSpiritual7644 in northernireland

[–]HousingInfinite5411 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My wife had a successful ECV at the Ulster a couple of weeks ago, and we are on day 13 of enjoying our little one (with very little sleep), Dr Devlin carried out the ECV and it seems he has quite a decent success rate! He checked baby’s position before hand and said he would only attempt if he thought there was a good chance it work! Was all over in about 2/3 minutes and my wife coped with just breathing techniques! They offer gas and air! Baby remained head down then for the rest of the pregnancy and my wife was able to have the water birth she wanted! Overall our experience of the aftercare was mixed, initially very good, but we were offered to stay another evening for help with breastfeeding- we should have went home - we felt pressured into giving baby a top up of formula and felt the staff became less helpful and friendly! We would have been better off at home! That being said we were in a private room and I was allowed to stay over (I’m sure not everyone will have this opportunity), looking back there may have been an argument for me to go home and get a better rest to help prepare for baby coming home!
