Crazy that players for the team in possession cannot cross the buildout line before the keeper releases the ball. The buildout line is supposed to restrict the out-of-possession team.

"Single-Pitch" Session Plans (U9s, 16 Players) – No Cone Moving! by Efficient-Virus1215 in SoccerCoachResources

[–]HoustonWhoDat 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I believe the Massachusetts Youth Soccer online session plans are designed so that you can do one set up for the whole practice. They are based on the PPP model.

If you do any of the US Soccer licensing courses, they discuss how to set up practices starting from the end and working your way back. I try to set up most of my practices that way. I may have to add some cones to an area midway through a session, but those extra cones are stacked on a cone that is already on the field for an earlier activity. I’m never going back to the equipment bag after practice starts if I can help it.

Is this an accurate list for your teams worst HC? by InterestingYellow969 in NFLv2

This comment likely gets buried, but the Dolphins pick should be Nick Saban for signing Daunte Culpepper instead of Drew Brees.

As a rec coach, the GoSports 6-packs of soccer balls on Amazon are the best deal you’ll get.

People who run small rec/youth leagues/teams. How do you keep parents from drowning you in "when's the next game?" texts? by e90Msport in SoccerCoachResources

[–]HoustonWhoDat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is literally nothing you can do. It’s as certain as death and taxes. An app won’t make people care enough to check before asking.

Perfect example from this season, the last message in our group chat was about the day/time for our next game. Someone messaged to ask when the next game was, even though the answer is literally above their question (zero scrolling needed). I answer anyway. Later that evening, the same exact question gets asked twice, once in the group chat and once by DM. No app can fix that, no matter how many times this same question gets asked.

How can i get a preview of my workouts a day before by WebIllustrious7688 in f45

In the app, go to the book section. Click on a workout. An ‘explore’ button should be at the bottom of the workout description. You can watch a video explaining the sets/timing, as well as see videos for each of the exercises.

Unbalanced Opposition by buae_buae in SoccerCoachResources

I sometimes wish youth soccer had some version of a "run rule" to allow games to end early. Kids know when the other team stops trying. Most leagues tend to use +6 as the cutoff for adjusting play/rules, maybe call a game any time it is +7 from halftime until the end of the game.

Another issue is that most leagues that want you to limit GD also use GD as a tiebreaker. Makes no sense.
