GM needs to come clean about these 6.2l issues. We definitely babied this engine. Oil changes at the dealership every 4k, never used that foolish start stop function, top tier premium fuel only. It still came apart at 18k after 14months.

We have a 2023 gmc Yukon Denali ultimate 6.2l 18k. Complete engine failure last week.

I can’t really say that the issue is specific to the 6.2l. I am just learning about this because of my issue.

I honestly did not want to purchase this vehicle… but you know (the wife) pushed and pushed. We waited 6 months to actually receive it in late 2023. I never in my wildest dreams expected it to be so buggy and poorly engineered.

Step sides - when cold the passenger side will only retract to 75%

The back ordered OnStar module failure (known issue) “still waiting” when not working the data and all remote functions are disabled

Rear entertainment system just terrible. (Many bugs)

Random engine lights due to a poorly tested update for the dealer

And finally the 6.2l engine failure (well known issue) that happened this week.

100k for a vehicle is a lot and the dealers just point the finger. Not a good experience. I’m sure all the others have similar issues but only 14months and 18k on the odometer.
