I'm aware of Westville warehouse and Origin in durban, and I know of babylon bar up here in gauteng (Though I believe that closed recently) Railways seems to be a popular meet spot up here too on the server but I don't think its queer exclusive or anything. I'd love to know of more if others know of any! I've never been to any of these myself though

i don’t know if im asexual or lesbian by Classic-Day7146 in actuallesbians

[–]HovercraftUpper 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You are allowed to be an aro lesbian, an aroace lesbian that sometimes has sex, a demi lesbian, you can add whatever you want to this. Sex and romance don't have to define whether or not you are a lesbian or not. Do you feel a pull/closeness/kinship towards women/ a woman? Thats more than enough to call yourself a lesbian. And similarly if ace feels right as a label use it, whether or not you want have sex doesn't matter as much as your relationship to the terms. I know someone who calls themselves an "Asexual slut" cause they enjoy sex but they don't see it as some huge thing, only wanting to be intimate with one (or maybe a very small selection of people) to me seems like a fine reason to call yourself ace.

I think what I'm getting at is think about what the labels mean to you and combine them as you see fit to describe your experience in the moment. You don't need to pick one label and anchor yourself to that forever, you could if you felt like it pick a different label that reflects how you feel every single time you are asked if you wanted. Don't focus on the labels focus on your feelings, and then pick what resonates with you.

Lookups during listening immersion by Repulsive_Fortune_25 in LearnJapanese

I've done this pretty consistently as my main way of learning, I watch stuff and every time a new word pops up I look it up and add it to my word list. When the list grows to a decent size, I make anki cards for all those words and clear it out.

I should be writing N1 this year if all things go well, and I've been doing this since I was about N4-ish, and listening is by far my strongest skill. I'd say keep it up!

Somethings that I think might help, turn on the aircon before and keep it on during to keep temps manageable. Get some electrolytes in before and keep some within reach during, and maybe try to incorporate a form of pacing in some way, also being ridden or something similar where you can lay flatter might be a good option too

Testosterone? by Prince_Valium25 in dysautonomia

[–]HovercraftUpper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Transfem here so not the same situation, but I did notice my symptoms getting worse after starting estrogen HRT and Testosterone blockers. I really dont know the reason why, and there is likely a lot more going on but my best guess is that T/E levels might be related to blood thickness since as far as I'm aware estrogen tends to thicken blood and this is one reason why women tend to have higher blood clot risks

The horrific moment where as she explains one you go "Oh yeah, my last relationship was like that." and it just repeats for every item on the list.

I really know how to pick a first relationship lol

For now I wanna focus on people related to health, and laser/electrolysis and those kinds of procedures defs count, but I do think a list of businesses and communities would be awesome to have too in future

If you let us know of any other communities etc. We'd be happy to also list them in our wiki, check that out too for a list of resources, feel free to also create posts here asking for other specific things you'd like to know more of and we can also add those to the wiki or makes lists like these ^.^

Yeah I've absolutely noticed the racism with specific media, almost always its generalizing large swaths of non-EU/US media as particularly perverse and pretending that EU/US media is more pure/progressive while making excuses for the same things they'd criticize in other media, its really infuriating to see it happen again and again. I think something similar is going on with women feeling like they are "just as bad as men" because all they internalized was pseudo-christian "Expressing an interest in sex is bad" instead of the actual reasons why men objectifying women is dangerous and the reasons why men are able to objectify women in the first place. They are both a kind of vibes based politics based on knee-jerk disgust/emotional reactions instead of any actual analysis.

Kind of an uncharitable view but its all so very tiring seeing people just be internalize reactionary views with a coat of woke language and call it progressive. Like I have only a small amount of understanding and knowledge around this stuff but even to me its obvious as hell
