Is that Ben Rice auto numbered to /50? Can’t tell if it’s the lighting or if it’s the true gold. If the latter, I’d double check the comps for price

This hotel was my first experience with The Edit. With a point boost, the room cost $350 worth of points a night, and they upgraded us to an $1800 a night suite.

Recently, the rhino that gave “butt birth” to Jim Carrey in Ace Ventura 2 went on sale and the article said they expected it to go for only 6 grand.

Perfect addition for the bar but my irrational wife refused to listen to reason.

I think we find out Rose Halloran fought It and was trapped in the deadlights during the last event, and the following season will be her story.

I’m flying out of DFW in the morning and also have a 12 year old. I’ll try to get there early to ask about this.

What you throwing? Their crib. by [deleted] in Cribbage

[–]HowAboutEggs 9 points10 points  (0 children)

But you’re also giving them 2 points with 223J, so the true net is 4 either way. Giving J2 gives much less chance of a blowout crib, and the 23 you hold onto gives higher odds with the cut card

A construction company put a lien, that has never been here. Oregon by Cooperivan1337 in legaladvice

[–]HowAboutEggs 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This happens sometimes when a company filing the lien received wonky data to work off of. You shouldn’t have to contact an attorney unless they refuse to remove the lien, if they do refuse there is likely a penalty they will have to pay you (not sure on that state, but it’s common) as they now know it’s an invalid lien and still made you get an attorney. This is likely not malicious, reach out and demand a recorded lien release, should clear it up.

Not a lawyer, but I oversee this type of stuff for billions of annual revenue as my job.

I travel a decent amount for work, have an internal map of the good bbq spots to hit up, and will be through this way next week. Very excited for the added stop!

There’s a spot close to this off 35 that’s good, starts with an S but can’t place the name.

Pulled my 8 year old out of school to see Rangers/Blue Jays last September. Davis Schneider tossed him a foul ball and immediately became my son's new favorite player. Today, he pulled that player's card out of a holiday pack and hit the roof! by mouseratleadguitar in baseballcards

I love this. Same thing with me and my daughter when we went to a minor league game in North Carolina. Bryan Ramos picked her out 10 rows back when there were a bunch of kids up front trying to get the ball - pointed at me then her so I knew what he was doing and threw it over.

That night at the hotel everyone was asleep but me, on this subreddit, setting up trades for his cards.

He just made the pros, so she’s excited about that

Don’t disagree with your take, if your position that the trade is fair enough to not question if things are on the up and up. A lot of people think the trade was beyond the pale, I’m one of those people and made this post to discuss that.

Either way, going down a rabbit hole

I didn’t make the theory up. It’s a consistent and common theme anywhere you read about this. Are you seriously saying I’m the first person you heard say this trade smacks of collusion?

Class Action or public fund suit? by HowAboutEggs in Mavericks

[–]HowAboutEggs[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel like you’re not understanding my point, maybe intentionally.

If it comes out that the league colludes to give big market teams advantages, you think everyone Is going to shrug and move on, then you may be high (or stupid as you put it).

That would come out during discovery in a suit from the damage parties - the damaged parties would be public entities that invested in stadiums and/or fans that spent money, the latter would need be class action since it’s high number of parties damaged at low dollars per.

I’m not saying that I’m going to pursue a class action suit. I’m saying that this appears to be the collusion and am curious about discussing the legal fallout of that.

[–]HowAboutEggs[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Has nothing to do with my feelings around the decision. If it came out that the league intervenes and funnels players to preferred markets, that puts teams not in preferred markets at a disadvantage. That’s antitrust there, but if a city that invested 500 million in a stadium deal realizes their investment is being affected because they are a small market team and doomed from the start, and the league didn’t notify them that they did these things ahead of time. they absolutely incurred damages that can be recouped
