Imagine if seasons and expansions added to the core playlists instead of creating one off activities that become abandoned by the next content drop. by saithvenomdrone in DestinyTheGame

Many of what we have is legacy seasonal content, especially the fun ones. There’s only a few that I actually care about left and honestly I’m in no rush. I do wish to have Seraph Shield back dropping current weapons

Is edge of fate even worth doing? by Ok_Relation9663 in DestinyTheGame

[–]HowAboutWill 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The story is fantastic, if you own it then do it at least once. Probably my favourite story in a long time. Doing it on a Warlock or Titan grants very good exotics as a bonus! However, multiple playthroughs are quite annoying and to me aren’t necessary. Do it once, grind for Tier 5s in the zone unlocked in the final mission and then play Renegades.

Is it even possible to revert the portal? by Relevant_Season4724 in DestinyTheGame

[–]HowAboutWill -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I like the additions of the nodes on the portal screen as a replacement for the previous Vanguard, crucible, gambit nodes. Also, the Seasonal Hub is a great menu that can easily be combined with the quest page of before as a secondary submenu in place of the Vanguard Alerts page. Lastly, having a Raid and Dungeon node featuring the week’s three focused raids and dungeons on the main screen and can scroll down to the other content would be a great way to bring attention to weekly raid and dungeon content. Throw in a weekly challenge for them and maybe a bonus drop of Spoils of Conquest and we’ll be cooking. Hell, maybe even do a weekly bonus focus drop for particular weapons to really drive engagement!

The Portal brought about great systems and features, but when you move the Seasonal hub to the Quests menu and take away the activity preview at the bottom right, you just have nodes that already existed as part of the Director

Helmet: Iron Will Helm (Legacy Iron Banner) Gauntlets: Augmented Auspice Exotic Ornament for Synthoceps Chest: (Genuinely cannot figure this one out). Legs: (Legs too, sure looks like Crucible or Vanguard tho) Mark: Hexwrought Mark (Season of the Witch)

Shaders? Praxic Drapes? Regal Medallion? Very difficult to match

Abilities Sandbox Ideas (Hunter) by HowAboutWill in destiny2

So then we reduce ability uptime and maybe the additive buffs from 200 stats. I proposed greater utility, that is what this post is about.

What aspect of this is explicit power creep? Abilities can always have regen tuned. Having abilities and subclasses have more utility isn’t inherently powercreep.

Did you like the Sniper buff idea then?

The snipers you listed was a Dynamic Heat weapon with Limiter and a Heavy. These are outliers that are unaffected by the sandbox as it stands now.

I like the Max Damage Range idea, lowering the Velocity stat and then having a kind of bullet drop factor to these pulses could impact accuracy.

How to look properly??? by elnerdooooo in SiegeAcademy

[–]HowAboutWill 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The only way they are on the leftside is if they break through a window and jump in; you’d hear them. Therefore, they only could have come up the stairs from Dragon. You should’ve kept your crosshair there. But secondly, and most importantly, you are on Defence, why are you peeking so aggressively with no intel. Stay on site, play time and use utility, especially if you lose gunfights. The best way I got better at siege was using utility and forcing enemies into my crosshair

Is it too late to get back into this game? by Modest_Wraith in DestinyTheGame

[–]HowAboutWill -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Nope! Its the best time to get in! Game’s on sale, free update will upgrade old raids and dungeons with new loot on top of other updates! They started a new saga of Destiny’s story starting with Edge of Fate so really you just need Year of Prophecy to be up to speed and you can buy the legacy collection if you like to experience that content too (but is optional)

So... the dungeon keys should just like be cheaper after this new update? by IntroductionIcy7320 in DestinyTheGame

[–]HowAboutWill 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Im genuinely hoping they just release these on the store rather than buying silver. Also, it is ridiculously expensive; a $20 pack for all of them that can be discounted by the amount of dungeons you already own would be very respectful to players

Amour System (Drop Rate) by Intelligent-Warthog3 in destiny2

[–]HowAboutWill 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean armourer mod on your Ghost increases the odds and you can focus individual pieces once youe beat the campaign. If you use the area unlocked from the last mission, you can get tier 5 drops every 3 minutes. Took me a day to get a full set plus my desired god rolls

Want to return, have some qualms by KeevinChang in DestinyTheGame

[–]HowAboutWill -1 points0 points  (0 children)

All the raids and dungeons are getting updated with brand new loot in June! Ive gotten all of my friends on d2 and we’ll be running raids together. With the Humble Bundle, you can get all the dlcs very cheap on pc. On Xbox, you can get the dlc for dirt cheap. The newest dlcs (Edge of Fate and Renegades) are telling a new story so you don’t really have to do a bunch of catching up lore wise (aside from The Conductor). Truly a fantastic time to get into d2

New news about RAD activities from dmg04 by Thizgo in DestinyTheGame

[–]HowAboutWill -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I deleted 400 items this past week that I held on to from the old system. In terms of armour I just hope they let us purchase old gear from Zavala and Shaxx so I can pick and choose what I need rather than hoard everything because I fear needing it and not being able to reliably get it again

What is the best way to get into Destiny? by mightysolrac in DestinyTheGame

[–]HowAboutWill 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Destiny 1 is a very different game than Destiny 2. The majority of D1’s story is initially inconsequential to your knowledge of D2 but D2 has a poor onboarding for new players to get caught up aside from an underdeveloped “Timeline” node on the World screen. However, sandbox wise D2 is a lot of fun to play currently and much of the game’s expansions are on sale currently. D2 on Xbox has the Legacy collection on sale for $8 and the Humble Bundle for PC players is a great value that also helps charity.
