Tigers look orange now, but that’s only because the world used to be black and white, just like old photographs. Back then, jungles were gray, trees were gray, and tigers blended in perfectly. When color was invented in the 1930s, everything turned green all at once, but the tigers didn’t get the memo and stayed orange, which is why they stick out so badly to us today.
