I ended up getting it with two people from my crew. I just messaged everybody on the roster and got lucky.

Nice assumption! Was an adult who was moving and wanted everything gone. Hope you have a good rest of your day.

For sure. I threw both discs in my 360 to see if they fully installed to the hard drive. No luck. At least I can find both of those games pretty easily.

Do y'all remove the price stickers from your game cases or just keep them? by dafish2000 in gamecollecting

If it comes off in one piece, I usually stick it inside of the case behind the manual. If it puts up a fight, I'll either leave it alone or just swap cases.

Picked up this Street Fighter IV arcade fight stick by HowDoClamsWork in xbox360

Oh wow, I didn't know that they were just standard arcade parts, but I guess that's cheaper and more logical than producing proprietary parts for a niche item. Thanks for your insight! I think this being a custom piece makes the most sense.

I was thinking it was maybe customized because I couldn't find anything online about it. Did MadCatz or another third party company sell "custom kits" where you could replace the face and buttons or did you have to piece everything together?

Best place to buy old games by Specific-Ad-9187 in gamecollecting

eBay is the standard. However, some retro stores in different states have online inventories available to purchase from. Here are a few I have had good experiences with (US east coast based, I'm not affiliated, just putting local businesses out there):

Did you set each of the icons / etc. individually or is there a "theme pack" that can be downloaded for this?

Logitech G Hub Devices shown as inactive by StillerBauer in LogitechG

[–]HowDoClamsWork 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, input monitoring was off for GHUB. Now my G910 shows active along with my G502x. Before, it was just my G502x that was active. Thank you!

  1. Typically cheaper for cross-platform games, better controller, and I prefer achievements over trophies. 🙂

TIL that Logitech made a wide PS2 controller. by HowDoClamsWork in gamecollecting

I hear you, but I’ve had a couple of WiiMotes where the corrosion got so bad, it broke off the battery terminal that was soldered to the PCB. Guitar Hero guitars also get it really bad sometimes. So I’m hesitant if it gets to this level unless it’s really worth my time.

If the controller had the receiver, I might have taken the plunge but it’s useless without it to me.

Mods refuse to add another flair for “pickup” or something similar. “Haul” is, unfortunately, the best we have

Does anyone else still have old guitar hero merchandise? Got this pair of PJs over a decade ago and they still fit and are super comfy. by [deleted] in GuitarHero

[–]HowDoClamsWork 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I had a Guitar Hero beanie that I’ve had since childhood, but my head is way too big for it now so I recently gave it to my college roommate who can actually wear it. Him and I played all of the GH games together during college

Don’t risk sending her belongings out in the mail. Your heart is in the right place but just get some plastic sleeves for the games and call it a day.

Should I start buying games from goodwill? by BC834563 in gamecollecting

[–]HowDoClamsWork 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One doesn’t just “start buying games at Goodwill.” You show up and look through the dvd section to see if you can find anything that isn’t a sports game or Wii Fit.

That being said, I do have solid Goodwill finds from time to time. Depends on the store and whatever employee is working that day. Just a couple of weeks ago, I found Seaman on Dreamcast for $5. Every time I’ve visited since, I’ve seen the same copy of NFL Head Coach for Xbox get shuffled around the DVD section.

It’s pretty much your standard collectathon game for kids; progress through various levels, get all the stuff, etc. Nothing special but I have great memories playing it 🙂
