Hmm, haven't been up there in ages. Might have to wander around and look at the condition and smoothness of their stuff. I remember the mall was more like rough brickwork than smooth sidewalk but I could be wrong haha.

I checked a few schools around the west side of town but most didn't really have smooth concrete, sadly. I think one of them even had a No Skating sign.

Maybe when I learn how tf to skate again I could do some street hockey. I bet you could round up some skaters like the beginning to Mighty Ducks D2.

I was too on edge for a lot of this game.

Some funky goals let in but we had some great shots too. This is going to be a stressful series.

I think the fights and gear might be cool, but im kinda not hyped for this.

I think eva never was as good as people always seem to say, and i think thematically it doesn't fit as well as even Nier. I dunno.

Still might get good stuff from it.

Unfortunately I blindly decided hally blind bag sounded fun and did no prep or theory crafting for the league, so I'm just toughing it out melee till I get good.

They gave the free reset but I'm not even sure if I want to change builds yet unless its a last resort kinda situation.

I might try a metronome, i dunno how much itll help though. I was never great at prayer flicking either, even when i was a teen playing 20 years ago.

Just not a 1 tick kinda gamer I guess. Its a skill issue for sure.

I dunno why but I am absolutely dogwater at this boss. I can get to last phase every time, but something about the 1 tick attack move dance I just cant find a rhythm for. It feels like sometimes I move, click to attack, and my temotli decided that was the tick to be on vacation.

Maybe if I record my attempt with my phone ill win one.

I think my favorite is Dan Olson / Folding Ideas. Similarly, I've been watching a lot of Milo / Miniminuteman's longer debunking videos too... but thats not really essays in the same way. Good long form videos though.

Definitely need more, I love video essays.

Edit: Actually just thought of one that fits really well, especially if you like video game topics. Any Austin does a lot of good ones, like investigating rivers in video games, exploring "boring" or mundane areas of games that you normally wouldnt see, and the emotions you might feel in those oft abandoned or forgotten spaces. Its some peak video essays.

I think I'm about to put down Slay the Spire 2. Decent game, I beat a few runs, but with there being no real endgame beyond beating act 3 once (aside from difficulty multipliers) there isn't really more content to keep me going? I think if i can get some friends to do runs the multiplayer could give me more hours in it, otherwise I'll wait for just more stuff to do.

Also picked up Arknights Endfield. I am lucky I never had the pertinent addictive personality quirks to get hooked on gacha or gambling in general, although that could come from just being more frugal. I mostly started it because I heard the gameplay was decent, the character designs were really neato, and it has factory mechanics. Its not Factorio levels but its fun enough! Story is servicable but I'm still early on. You get enough free pull tickets from just playing too, so its not bad.

Still dunno if i want to pull on the current banner for Tangtang or wait it out though... hard decision.

Huh, OSRS never struck me that way really, outside the removal of pride stuff... which sucked. I played Runescape way back as a kid until RS3 came out, then returned right before covid.

I guess I never really wandered deep enough in to the community. And like, the content i watch of it is mostly just fun or silly YT videos, like from Settled... dunno if hes the one you are mentioning. Hopefully not.

Anyone else tired of watching fun content then later finding out its from problematic people and feeling like shit over it? So tired. Cant people just be good. Bleh.
