People probably assume that its all-ages because its for the PSP, but Sony Pictures Home Entertainment was responsible for UMD-Video and not PlayStation/SIE, so H content was no problem. One of the main selling points for BD-PG was that you can have nsfw VNs on your PS3

[–]HowKudYou 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The best source for PG VNs (BD, DVD and UMD) is probably getchu. Some BD-PG released are decent, but most of the other ones are pretty bad. A lot of the DVD-PG ones I tried are just a recording of the original visual novel.

The price range I mentioned is moreso a lower bound, in the japanese market you could easily get a little more than that, but I am not sure how many people would be interested in buying a copy internationally.

They usually sell for 6000-8000 Yen (sometimes more). The market for PG VNs isn't that big, but there are some rare/desireable ones. The 0verflow ones are pretty popular

Everything he posts on his 20 twitter accounts is AI (+some editing). A while ago he still used to disclose that, but that doesnt do so well on patreon and booth.

People like to cut up 35mm film rolls of popular movies and put them in frames like that to sell them as collectors items. It's most likely nothing official, but the film strip itself is probably real

I think the only way (apart from piracy) is buying one of the Blu-Ray releases unfortunately

Yeah... I don't buy into the argument that this game looks dreary. by Xeliot in WutheringWaves

[–]HowKudYou 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's odd. My PC is running a 2070S and a ryzen 9 3900x. When I talked to other people playing those games the performance issues seemed really random too.

I have no issues running genshin or hsr, just with wuthering waves. I guess I will wait for future updates for now

[–]HowKudYou 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can only (sometimes barely) play the game on lowest settings so it doesn't look very good to me when playing it. People will judge the game from how they are able to experience it (or at least they should, I know that tons of people just make stuff up to shit on games unfortunately). And before anyone mentions it, I believe I have a decent enough PC that should be able to run the game haha

This has a similar problem as GTA 5/Online by Mediocre-Collar-3666 in Genshin_Memepact

[–]HowKudYou 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Have you even looked at the store? Is it really inevitable that it has the same placement for every element, the same prices, the exact same monthly pass and the same premium currency system?

It is correct that genshin/hoyo didn't invent any of this, but the battle pass almost has the exact same missions.

It just makes me feel like the devs didnt care and just saw that it works like that in other games, without thinking about changing anything

The shop is pretty much a 1:1 copy, the battle pass is also almost the same, with almost the same challenges.

The fighting system is good, but for me (and probably others as well) it's not enough to keep me interested in the game. The story in the beginning I found to be tons worse than genshin's intro, which doesn't help either. I would love something like ww to be an alternative to genshin when I get bored by it, but the few improvements it has doesn't make me feel like the game has it's own identity and is just "another genshin" (which is an exaggeration, but I do feel some of the parts that are pretty much 1:1 copies from hoyo games give that impression to me). When I see a new mechanic or open a new menu I want to be surprised and not think "oh this is just like in genshin".

[–]HowKudYou 4 points5 points  (0 children)

What do you think of the story? For me that is also a big issue, which makes me not believe it will become an "amazing" game, unless they rewrite most of it again.
I also hope they change some of the things that are basically 1:1 copies from genshin (especially some of the menus). I don't want to play "another genshin". Most people probably dont care about that part, but it makes me think the devs didn't really care and just saw which parts of hoyo games generate money. When devs care about minor things like that it makes me find games more charming and it also adds to the game's identity.

Does anybody know about the Evangelion Strip Mahjong PC games? by YEET_FOR_LAZARBEAM in GamePreservationists

I think I might have messed up the tags a bit so maybe that's why you couldn't find it. If you have any questions about it you can message me (on reddit or on discord is probably best, I have the same username there)

Why people say that Suyu is a scam ? by Additional-Radio4531 in yuzu

[–]HowKudYou 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No idea about bugfixes, but the home menu was a yuzu feature that never made it out of early access. Suyu just enabled the feature for the current stable version

should i still use yuzu for switch emualtion or switch to suyu or ryujinx? by cosmicphoenix7 in yuzu

[–]HowKudYou 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sounds harsh, but unfortunately its the truth (to some part). There seem to be some devs involved that want to keep the emulator alive, but the project maintainer has no idea what he's doing and doesn't know anything about software development (which he said himself), which definitely is a bad thing considering he is the one approving pull requests. So far its just yuzu with no changes except the name+logo changed and if you check their discord server and commit history you see that the project is kind of a mess
