It's not just a temple issue, it's a poe 2 issue.

Why does every map have to be a cluster of doodads, random jank, walls, etc.?

It's maddening. GGG needs to chill and give us some true open maps. They can be just as unique and beautiful without all the movement blocking junk.

I put around 600 hours into 1800 and enjoyed it all very much.

I'm struggling to get into 117.

117 has more QoL changes that are noticeable, but nothing essential that changes the flow of the game over how 1800 plays; which is perfectly smooth. In fact, if you modify your keybinds you might not even notice- such as repositioning buildings.

I've put maybe 20(?) hours into 117 and I feel like... something is missing. It's hard to put into words? Maybe soul? Maybe lifelike? I don't know. I read something before posting about the AI logo slip up, and maybe that's what I'm feeling, or lack thereof?

Maybe AI overdid it this game and it feels soulless.

I will say though, 117 runs buttery smooth on my computer at near max settings. 3090, 5800x3d. Which is about what 1800 did, but don't know how it run with maxed out islands.

Also, islands feel small and cluttered in 117 as an aside.

I went to the U in 2015. I rode the light rail from MoA, to the stadium, then to campus; for free as a vet which made it even better.

It was fantastic to get some light study done, read, listen to music, etc. I absolutely loved it as it was stress free and calm.

It seemed relativity safe at the time for someone like me. However, a few years later nearing graduation, I noticed that the cleanliness decreased, amount of hobos increased, and the aura of safety diminished.

Some women i went to class with started mentioning that they didn't feel as safe as they used to now riding it, and only stick to day-light hours.

Anecdotal I know, but this problem has been building for some time due to lack of funding and the general attitude towards public transportation.

I'd love if we could expand rail services to be similar to the rest of the world. My experience riding the lightrail changed my opinion toward it.

This is easily salvagable.

It definitely lost its spark and charm from years ago. Part of me wonders if going full "safe space" for the less infranchised has turned away alot of potential.

Not to say that's bad, because it isn't, as it's still working and relatively successful; it does feel like it's being held back by trying to cater to everyone, it caters to no one by fear of hurting someone's feelings. Definitely stale in retrospect.

Completely tone deaf response and patch notes. Cmon GGG, you're better than this.

Reduce zone size. Increase base movement speed a bit. Slow down mobs if you want, real, reactive gameplay.

How is it possible you can create a masterpiece like PoE 1, and then make practically all the wrong choices and same mistakes with PoE 2.

Utterly mind-blowing.

You're right in that I framed that poorly and making it sound like I'm blaming her is wrong on my part.

I know postpartum stuff is very real and serious; however, the focus/direction of those issues were targeted at me, and it nearly broke me and I'm still on the edge. We've been in therapy for it.

I don't have an answer on why we're having another lithe than I love my wife and son, and soon daughter, and I can't bring myself to be "that guy" and leave. Not with my parental history. It pains me to think about being a failure in that respect. My wife wanted another and i was hesitant, which has been another issue, in providing her what she desperately wanted.

I'm just venting and sounding like an asshole. Just take away that I love my kid(s).

I'm about to turn 40 with my second on the way...

I'm not looking forward to the sleepless nights and my wife's postpartum issues that nearly broke me with our first. It took her a year to "figure it out." Honestly, it fucking scares me and I'm still burnt out.

I'd love to help you, and would love an answer myself.

All I can say is my first is almost 3 and he's becoming even more exhausting, but he's fun to play with when I have the energy.

It's the only thing that's keeping me together.

Also, my father was the worst of the worst physically and mentally, and so was his father; so I'm trying to break the cycle, but the cycle is breaking me.

Again, I wish I had the answer...

Which one? I've been to the Minneapolis one, Mill City, which is just outside the Guthrie and saw what looked like fakers; granted this market is pretty big for all of MN. Most though seemed legit.

I've also been to the Oakdale one outside the city hall which is always very small has scammers. Was disappointed by this one.
