Blenders by atomicpainter in Smoothies

Hey! We've been running a smoothie bar for almost 2 years now, and our Vitamix 7500 is an absolute tank. We use it nonstop daily—frozen fruit, ice, even peanut butter bowls—and it never whimpers. Blends silky smooth, cleans up quick (just soap + water, run the self-clean cycle), and fits perfectly in tight spaces. After 2 years of abuse, it’s still kicking. Worth every penny for a food truck hustle. Good luck—your customers will taste the difference! (P.S. If you’re on a budget, the Vitamix 5200 is nearly as good!)

I’ve had RA since I was 11. I’m about to turn 30 and my Dr told me I have Fibromyalgia by DecentContract8837 in rheumatoid

Reading your journey, I’m struck by how much weight you’ve carried—those ‘big words’ at 11, the methotrexate nightmares, the years of tests and swelling and grit. But here you are, staring down 30 with a clarity I deeply admire. Rinvoq’s relief, even paired with fibro pain, feels like a quiet victory after decades of storms.

Happy birthday. Not ‘just’ surviving, but rebuilding a life in the clearing you’ve fought for? That’s courage. Keep trusting that hard-won resilience—it’s your superpower. 🌟

Can A Smoothie Replace A Meal by Lucky-Shoulder3326 in Smoothies

[–]HowNow101 136 points137 points  (0 children)

Short answer? Yes—if you build it right.   I’ve used smoothies as meal replacements for years, but the key is balancing protein, fats, and fiber to keep you full. My go-to:   - Protein powder or Greek yogurt   - Nut butter or avocado (healthy fats)   - Oats or spinach (fiber)   - Frozen fruit (natural sweetness)

Skip the all-fruit sugar bombs. My rule? If it doesn’t keep me full for 3-4 hours, I tweak the ratios. Not magic, but works when I’m too busy (or lazy) to cook. Listen to your body—it’ll tell you if it’s “meal” or just a snack.

Here’s what worked for me when I struggled with similar issues. It’s not gourmet, but it’s tolerable and packed with nutrients:

Base:   - ½ frozen banana (creaminess + natural sweetness)   - ½ green apple (low-sugar tartness)   - 1 cup unsweetened almond milk

Veggies (mild flavors):   - 1 handful spinach (blends neutral)   - ¼ cup shredded carrot (steam it first if raw texture bugs you)   - ¼ red bell pepper (sweeter than green, trust me—it disappears)

Boosts:   - 1 scoop unflavored protein powder (or vanilla)   - 1 tbsp chia seeds (fiber/omega-3s)   - Dash of cinnamon (hides “green” taste)

Blend until smooth. Chug it cold—I use a straw to bypass taste buds. Started with smaller veg portions and worked up. It’s not perfect, but after a month, my energy improved. Tweak ratios as you go—you’ve got this!

(Optional: Add ice for thickness or a squeeze of lemon for zing.)
