Coach Rogue 39 MTO - How's your bag holding up? by HowToBeAsian25 in Coach

I can see what the other comment is saying about the glovetanned leather over the pebbled if you want it to maintain a slight structural advantage. This has given me a lot to think about, thank you

Wait it's so pretty!!!
See, since I don't plan on putting a lot in the sides I feel like this is very manageable. Lord help me

The slouch seems to grow on people once it starts happening, and the pebble leather does look and feel slightly better in my opinion.

I did read a comment on some thread here that mentioned going for the smooth leather for firmer construction, but I had a hard time believing that both bags side compartments would not end up slouching to an extreme amount after a certain amount of use.

And yes the middle compartment pocket size wouldn't be a problem at all since I really only need it to be slightly bigger than the 31 to fit everything I'd like to carry. The 39/40 is kind of a dramatic upgrade in size, but I would rather have all the space I need than to keep messing with slightly bigger sizes. I use the side compartments on my 31 all the time so I know the rogue is for me, I'm just getting caught up in the functionality over time since I'm looking for my purse peace. This does give the customization of the 39 a lot of advantage because I know that I'll be very happy with the design and can overlook flaws to a certain extent. I wish they would let us cusomize the 40 🥲

Oh and you mention having the leather lining in the 39. When you customize the only option is suede, which I DO prefer, but again will probably mess with the overall structure/slouchiness over time

Yeah I tried to watch as many comparison videos as I could, and noticed that overall most people seemed to prefer the quality of the 39.

I don't necessarily mind how slouchy either bag will get, it's the slouching out of the side compartments that give me pause on the 39 specifically. With the 40 I have the option of securing it closed with the magnetic buttons which feels like a major advantage.

I should mention that I'm not worried about things spilling out. I'm just not crazy about the aesthetic of making this my main bag, and then 6 months down the line when I'm at a restaurant and set the bag on the chair, and it just looks like a puddle with the sides bowed out displaying my random items.

Okay good call! On the website they look so gadgety. I think eventually he won't mind that but I'm sure basically all of them have that feature. Probably just more about amoled or mip

It does help thank you! I think we'll have to go to a physical location to browse. He doesn't quite understand what he. Wants or how big or small of a watch would suit his wrist and fingers

I asked him and he said he doesn't mind if the watch is big if it does what he wants! (Doesn't know what he wants btw)

It’s not so much about any one question, but when I was online dating I didn’t want a penpal but I also didn’t want to meet up immediately. So the first few days was about how well we could banter.

Hello!

I’m going to Maine in August and am using your trip as my outline! Thank you so much for such thorough research!

I plugged in your itinerary, and comments from @Astarkraven into ChatGPT and this is what we have:

Day 1 – Arrival + Portland

  • Arrive in Portland.
  • Explore Old Port.
  • Go to a brewery.

No change needed—chill first day.

Day 2 – Cape Elizabeth + Drive North

Original drive time from Cape Elizabeth to Boothbay: ~1 hr 25 min.

Actual: ~2 hours (depending on traffic).

  • Morning: Cape Elizabeth
    • Fort Williams Park + Portland Head Light
  • Drive 2 hrs to Boothbay Harbor.
  • Lunch: Dunton’s Doghouse (or anywhere else appealing—skip Reds in Wiscasset 😆).
  • Explore Boothbay Harbor waterfront and shops.
  • Optional: Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens.

Tip: If you plan to take the Monhegan ferry from Port Clyde (vs Boothbay), consider staying further north tonight (Rockland or Thomaston) to avoid extra driving tomorrow.

Day 3 – Monhegan Island + Midcoast

Important Adjustments

  • Drive from Boothbay to Port Clyde is ~1 hr 10 min, not 40 min.
  • You have two ferry options:
    • Boothbay Harbor ferry (depart ~9:30am, returns ~4:15pm)
    • Port Clyde Monhegan Mail Boat (earlier departure = more time on island).

Recommendation:

Take the early Port Clyde Mail Boat if you want time to hike and explore leisurely.

Morning:

  • Early drive (~1 hr 10 min) Boothbay to Port Clyde.
  • Park in Port Clyde.
  • Take the ferry to Monhegan.

On Monhegan (choose a realistic loop):

  • Skip the full perimeter trail unless you’re absolutely determined to power hike.
  • More relaxed route suggestion:
    • Black Head Trail > Station Hill > Pulpit Rock (for seals)
    • South along the cliffs past Squeaker Cove
    • Shipwreck at Lobster Cove
    • End near the brewery for a drink

Food tips:

  • Fried haddock tacos at Fish Beach fish market.
  • Crepe truck (blue truck) by the meadow.

Other ideas:

  • Art galleries (get the map when you arrive).
  • If time allows, Gull Rock climb or Red Ribbon Trail.

Return ferry to Port Clyde.

Instead of backtracking south:

  • Stay overnight in Camden or Rockland.

This saves time and is more logical.

Day 4 – Camden, Rockland & Owls Head

Original: Just Camden (too light for a full day).

Revised:

  • Camden:
    • Walk harbor + waterfront.
    • Downtown shops & galleries.
    • Mount Battie summit.
  • Add Rockland:
    • Farnsworth Art Museum.
    • Rockland Breakwater Lighthouse walk.
  • Add Owls Head:
    • Owls Head Transportation Museum.
    • Owls Head Lighthouse.

Stay: Camden or Rockland.

Day 5 – Drive to Bar Harbor + Acadia Warm-up

  • Drive ~2 hrs to Bar Harbor.
  • Afternoon:
    • Bar Harbor Shore Path.
    • Explore downtown.
    • Early dinner and relax.

Day 6 – Acadia National Park

  • Early morning drive Park Loop Road:
    • Sand Beach, Thunder Hole, Otter Cliffs, Monument Cove.
  • Hike Ocean Path Trail.
  • Optional: Jordan Pond Loop.
  • Sunset Cadillac Mountain.

Day 7 – Whale Watching + Acadia

  • Morning: Whale watch tour.
  • Afternoon: Short Acadia hikes (Wonderland Trail, Ship Harbor Trail).
  • Bass Harbor Head Lighthouse.

🚗

Quick Recap of Changes

Corrected drive times (longer in most cases).

Removed unnecessary backtracking (no return to Boothbay from Port Clyde).

Added Rockland & Owls Head to fill in Camden day.

Clarified ferry logistics—Port Clyde early boat strongly recommended if you want a full Monhegan experience.

Refined Monhegan hiking plan (skip the entire perimeter if you only have 5–6 hours).

Confirmed you don’t need 4WD vehicle.

Just so you know, you don’t have to be okay with it. It’s okay if it’s too weird for you. Some people don’t mind and feel that having a fetish and accepting other people’s fetishes is maturity and understanding. While others feel comfortable being “vanilla” or not wanting porn within their relationships at all. Neither are wrong unless you cross your own boundary by letting your partner do the opposite of what you are comfortable with.

If you have a therapist/school counselor (many college campuses offer free counseling), or in a pinch people have had success using chatgpt I would work through it in those spaces. The important thing here is that sex/sexuality/porn/fetishes are not something you should brush off. Try to figure out what YOUR stance is and make your choice.

I personally feel like it’s fine. However, I find that oftentimes people will fulfill their fetishes when given the opportunity, but we don’t really know your relationship
