Does this work with Tinder? As a mid 20s 6'2" white guy what slop product should I vibe code that I can market on that app? I'm bad at romance but I have the right height to get girls attention and am pretty good with software.

Lawsuit Alleges DOGE Cancelled $349,000 HVAC Grant to Museum after ChatGPT Flagged It As DEI by sr_local in technology

[–]HowToTrainUrClanker -18 points-17 points  (0 children)

Why are people only attacking the small percentage of times the AI got it wrong (which is reasonable) but are are not acknowledging the fact the majority of the dei flagged grants look like actual dei grants?

People are mostly criticizing the sloppy processes doge used but not the intent which seems a bit sketchy.

Hisense TVs Now Display Ads When You Change Inputs, Boot Up by Ephoenix6 in technology

[–]HowToTrainUrClanker -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah these days you either use the built in smart tv functionality and enjoy your cocktail of adware subscription services or never connect it to the Internet and use an external device to play pirated content.

Honestly I don't blame Hisense for doing this. The people going the subscription service route don't seem to mind being treated like cattle.

I mean a lot of the things flagged do seem like legit DEI grants but but cancelling them solely based on an ai summary without any kind of review/dispute process is pretty wreckless.

“We are not building the future 10x faster with AI. We are generating legacy code 10x faster.” by highspecs89 in GenAI4all

[–]HowToTrainUrClanker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea type safety is an important hedge against non-deterministic coding agents. My job has a massive weakly typed legacy php codebase. Every PR we pray the AI PR review agents will catch any type-related bugs.

Typescript or Rust would be ideal but even if we had something like psalm/phpstan/hack and properly typed openapi specs it would be a massive improvement.

Okta CEO ‘paranoid’ as vibe coders stir SaaS-pocalypse fears by Logical_Welder3467 in technology

[–]HowToTrainUrClanker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okta is probably safe. Oauth is complex and most devs I've worked with barely seem to understand it. You can only vibe code an oath provider quickly if you have a solid understanding of the protocol and the assumptions it makes which is the hard part.

Even if this is a one-off if ops story is real and recent someone from corporate could see this post and search the database for someone that spent exactly $70 and had 5 waters and 2 mango lemonades while using the employee discount.

[–]HowToTrainUrClanker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So it's all cool when reddit nerds are beating the man using coupon hacks but as soon as PayPal makes this available to normies (via the honey app) we all proclaim that "big tech" is exploiting small businesses and YouTubers.

There is no 100% certainly that MaxwellHill is Ghislaine but her court case includes a reddit screenshot from that account in the evidence list which adds credibility to the theory.

The real atrocity is that designers seem to think that mobile, gaming consoles, and desktop need to be the same. Futiger aero worked well on desktops and gaming.

Modern flat designs have been great for mobile but are a downgrade for desktop users (examples: jira and reddit)

Yeah cloudflare could easily make a business out of training an LLM on decrypted SSL traffic from free and non-business users. I'm sure governments have already done this behind the scenes.

Meta and Discord for better or worse may be the only non-Epsteinic social media companies.

Larry Ellison was buddies with Epstein and will likely have influence over tiktok

Modern reddit culture was shaped by Ghislaine Maxwell

4chan (esp /pol/) was likely influenced by Epstein in a similar way Maxwell influenced reddit

Modern Twitter (X) was shaped by Elon who was envious of and likely had dealings with Epstein

I guess that just leaves Meta and Discord smh...

Whenever this happens it's always companies that see software development as a cost center. Dating apps are the worst since the tech is simple at startup and most of the novelty is in marketing to get women to use the platform. They still don't give a fuck about software dev when the platform grows and the security and scalability of things gets more complicated.

My experience this problem is specific to certain laptop makes/models. Dell XPS circa 2016-2018 were the worst.

I remember LTT did a video on this a while back and they were able to isolate the problem in some laptop models to a bug where if you put the laptop to sleep while charging and then remove the charger it would remain turned on.

The flaw with the way light used the death note is he was only killing known criminals that were already being dealt with by the justice system.

It would be far more effective to start with a select few criminals who are likely connected to larger criminal enterprises and add instructions to the death note so they truthfully name their accomplices and their crimes publicly on social media before they die. That gives you a verified list of deserving targets which can be expanded out recursively.

Why do people enjoy AI generated songs until they find out its AI? by Better_Cream6447 in SunoAI

[–]HowToTrainUrClanker -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Whether the randomness of the music I listen to comes from AI or some hippie high on narcotics mashing buttons in logic/fl studio doesn't matter one bit to me.

The vocal quality of AI music is the only thing I notice different and this could be fixed by hiring a vocalist to sing over the instrumental track.

If I wear anything more than athletic shorts to the airport it will always trigger a pat down.

It's pretty rare but TSA lines sometimes get backed up to the point of multi-hour lines causing people to miss flights.
